@datawraith3080 Nobody is asking you to build one mate. These Bugatti's and others like them are works of art - straight eight engines with twin spark ignition and superchargers back in the day when Americans were still carrying out horseback (is there horsefront..) riding!
@38listerjag Sorry indeed. Mr Bugatti may have been Italian born but his cars were very much French and built by Frenchmen. Why sir, do you think the cars were always blue in competition? You would think with everyone having equal access to the internet that these gaffes would happen less often.
1971 Marseille; I found a large saloon type 49 in a used car lot. Excellent condition, with the beautiful alloy wheels. Price 1,000 Francs, (200 dollars). The lot owner said that nobody wanted it...A gas hog and just too expensive to drive...sigh.
@L0tk0 Dude, Volkswagen invented the W12 for the Volkswagen Nardo concept (after prototyping a W8, the first four bank W engine), then a W-16 for the Bentley Hunaudières concept, which They decided to use in the Veyron after slapping on four turbos. It resembles a V8 with extremely wide cylinder heads and valve covers. It's only slightly longer than an ordinary V8. They currently use the W-12 for luxury cars from Bentley, Audi, VW, and Spyker as VW AG owns all of them.
@Koosha888 It is not about money man, you don't understand this hobby at all.
Who cares about the millions? The real collector is not into that sort of things. By the way it is not very chique to mention money when it comes to original Bugattis only a Veyron-owner is mentioning this all the time to all his neighbours who want to hear it :-)
thats amazing, how did you get the chance to get near one? who ownes it? and just curious, do you know how much that thing was worth, cuz it didnt look like it was in mint condition, idk maybee im wrong.... still curious haha

I'm quessing it's a W16. That's what made Bugattis famous and that's why they designed one for Veyron. It looks like there's two V8's in a row.
L0tk0 1 year ago
Why don't you assume it's an inline-eight?
argh1989 1 year ago
@L0tk0 so you're geussing it's a w16 huh??
where do you suppose they left the other cillinder bank from 0:5 to 0:10??
Sawn off for your viewing comfort maybe??
never heard of a straight 8??
