I think this is pretty awesome. I have practically taught myself a large portion of Calculus 2 and this is more challenging than what i have learned. Does anyone know what level class it is in relation to Calc 1, 2, and 3?
this is much better than "discovery learning" (as my "teacher" puts it) where you discover for yourself and share the knowledge with your group. teaching yourself and others is retarded when you are paying someone to teach you. have to resort to videos of actual professors teaching, thank god there are some!
@anarchris Seriously?! If you have a college professor that's having you learn calculus by "discovery"??
IMHO You should be looking into filing a complaint. There's a reason why everybody doesn't just "know" calculus...it usually requires a professor to teach it to you.
why would such an institution still be using whiteboards? all classrooms in my high school have smartboards which are wayy more efficient. you mean to tell me my high school is more advanced than berkeley? i hate whiteboards, theyre filthy and make scratchy annoying noises.
@MPyea The smartboards on your high school may be more advanced, but the teachers probably are not!
Also, people "think" in whiteboards, that is math gets a strong kinesthetic dimension. Many mathematicians "feel" the formulas more than they visualize them.

@MrBanko8
Multivariable Calculus is kind of a Calculus 2.5
There is a Calc 3 but usually that refers to the third course in single variable calculus series.

The professor really explains the material very well. He's doing much more than just writing on the board.

@Yu2Kal Ummm have you watched the video?
Lecturer makes a joke in it: "Who watches multivariable calculus videos on YouTube anyway?" Sarcastically of course. I simply replied.
