  • who can explain me the meaning of "on the rocks"? :O

  • I'm drinking one now...Back to the 70's I go..

  • Bacharach, Martini, David and Ross!

  • It looks like Kool Aid to me.

  • I had an old bottle of this remaining in my cellar just a year ago...but I knew better. I used it to strip the old paint from my porch deck.

  • love these old commercials - but did you ever drink this vile swill??? OMG, you could put it in your furnace and heat your house with it......horrendous, flammable and disgusting. This is how we were brainwashed in the 70s by Madison Ave making us think all the suave cats at Maxwell Plums were drinking this crapjuice.

    UGH

  • I drink my Coke Zero "on the rocks"...

  • Yes...

  • YES!

  • Who's actually tried it?

  • THANKS!!! I remember this comercial when I was about 14 or 15... OH YES!

I know there are other Martini and Rossi ads.. but this is the one.

    Say YES!!

  • this was on tv at the time i was born. i am 34years old

  • Ah yes the warm sounds of the 70s. Y'all born by at least 1968 should have nice family memories when hearing and seeing this commercial.

  • You couldn't pay enough to drink that crap.

  • There is a m&r commercial that was made in the late 60s, It had two hands pouring m&r in a glass and the song went " m&r on the rocks its great" anybody else remember it?

  • Jerry the zombie, on the rocks, say yes...

Any MST3K fans out there? :P

  • @modchic720 MADISON!

  • I have never been able to get this commercial out of my head my entire life!

  • lol!

  • @sisterdiggins I thought it was just me. I was 9 when it aired.. it haunts me to this day.

  • classy ad!

  • A few years later, Angie Dickinson and her then-husband Burt Bacharach appeared in a M&R ad, with him singing and playing this jingle on his piano, and her purring at the end, "Yeah...".

  • @fromthesidelines I liked that commercial. I was about 12 years old @ the time.

  • @fromthesidelines BLIMEY I HAD NO IDEA THEY WERE ONCE MARRIED

  • The commercial still works, after seing this, I'll have to get my wife some M&R AustiSpumante, one of her faves.
