  • man who was this commentator i miss him

  • The Kings looked more like a championship caliber in this video than in 2002. If Chris Webber did not get injured, they would have made it to the NBA finals .

  • Nowitzki, Nash, Finley: GREATEST BIG THREE EVER.

  • michal finley+dirk nowitzki+steve nash=nba championship

  • and Cuban had hair.....too bad those good old days are all gone.

  • This would have been the kings year have it not been for that stupid ass knee injury that Chris Webber suffered in game 2 .

  • theres no Defense at all haha, they jus run fastbreak and shot jumpshots all day

  • I didn't know that "Mavericks at Kings 2003 Game 3 2OT" meant "Mavericks highlights 2003 Game 3 2OT"

  • DAMNN this was 2003? seems like yesterday

  • this was legendary. kings got screwed again when web got injured tho

  • Its crazy how this was only 7 yrs ago and almost none of these guys are in the league anymore. The few that are dont have much of a role. Nash and Dirk obviously still have game. Walt Williams was a playoff bad ass.

  • Mavs got lucky CWebb blew out his knee during this series. Otherwise they wouldn't have had a chance!

  • @kida2k313 totally true

  • @kida2k313 totally true

  • mavs vs kings from 2001 to 2004 were the best nba matches ever

  • Wow two great offences goin at it in a playoff series. Nellie ball against Adelman's Princeton offence

  • kidd would never make that play at 7:04

  • Dang man Nowitzki was so much better back then. He did something everytime he touched the ball back then. Nash and Finley really kept him going and helped him play at a high level. Samething with Nelson, he really helped him quite a bit.

  • @PJHunterTJ Ha, are you joking? Dirk wasn't nearly the player he is today back then. Much better defender, passer, teammate, more versatile, better leader. Are you watching him against the Lakers right now? He has never been better.

  • @MrWright621 Dirk is better than ever right now, he deserves a ring! LET'S GO MAVS!

  • Dang man Nowitzki was so much better back then. He did something everytime he touched the ball back then. Nash and Finley really kept him going and helped him play at a high level.

  • Two of the greatest team in that era... Stern & the refs hated them, but true fans loved them

  • I remember this game real well! I couldn't sit down at all during the 4th quarter or the overtimes. GO MAVS!!! MFFL!!!

  • I actually kinda remember this game. Very exciting game and well played by both teams.

  • man 7th grade. Those were the days!

  • three points here

1)This is the first game following Webber's injury. Who know that the beginning of the end had already begun? That Chris Webber's career both in Sacramento and in the nba would never be the same again?

2)The Kings controlled this game most of the way through; they were blowing the Mavs out at times. Letting the Mavs come back was inexcusable

3)The Kings had the game won with 20 seconds to go. Surprisingly(NOT!) Peja chokes and misses the three that would have sealed the deal

  • WHAT GOLD! I am so glad to have found this!

  • i thought i was gonna have heart attack watching the over time lol. go mavs

  • whats the matter with the kings, they couldn't win

  • Wow. Seeing that arena filled up like that is undheard of now.

  • Why is 74bighomie's statement here marked SPAM. I think he makes a valid point. If Kings would have advanced without C-Webb then Spurs win that series in 5. Mavs only took Spurs to 6 in 2003 because the 2 Mav wins were BLOWN leads by the spurs (leads of 18 PTS each time) and they did that all yr (SPurs that is). Now Kings with C-Webb vs Spurs could have gone either way.

  • nah kings wouldve ripped spurs no contest

  • Actually, Dirk got injured in game 3 against the Spurs, and most of Dallas's big men were injured too.

  • @HXMbamwam. More than likely SA still wins even with Dirk. They were up 2-1 with Dirk in (Dirk's injury happened late in Game 3 when outcome was already decided). It seems like Spurs were destined to win it that yr as it was David Robinson's and Steve Kerr's last NBA season each.

  • Just saying it wasn't necessarily a fair fight. Both teams won a lot of games during that season, and 2-1 is still not too late for a comeback.

  • @HXMbamwam. You could have a point because add Drik in with the great play of Van exel (Dallas's MVP of the 2003 Playoffs) and they could have pushed it to the brink vs SA. Spurs were destined to win it that yr being it was RObinson and Kerr's last seasons.

  • yeah dirk has really developed, highly efficient offensive player and with damp guarding the better big he's not a liability on d.

  • the kings should have won the series with webber

  • im lovin the Van Exel free throws

  • thats how he would shoot em. too bad he wasnt on the orlando magic this year hhahaha

  • Great game. Still remember it 6 years later. Players in this game:

    Dirk- 25/20 on 9/21

    Nash- 31/11/5 on 12/20

    Van Exel- 40/7/7 on 14/26

  • Mavericks are good, but Kings are better!

  • cant believe its been 6 years remember the good old days with steve nash and dirk

  • @Dreamindirk41 yeah, it's crazy that cuban would cut Nelson, Finley and Nash. Nash was a good point guard.

  • look how far van exel shoots his Free Throws

  • Dirk was very Bird like in this game.

  • Dallas Mavericks the best!!!!

  • if you ever want to learn about offense (if you have no care for defense) watch this series. You will learn PLENTY of offensive moves watching both teams

  • if only webber hadnt got injured..kings were the fuckin best

    fuck the refs in 02

  • My favorite basketball game....ever!!!!

  • Mavs won the series. How can you say they sucked? The Kings weren't that much different without Webber. You can't take anything away from the Mavs. The Mavs had the best regular season record in the NBA that year also. Give them some credit.

  • dude it makes a huge difference when C-WEBB is not in the lineup

  • Dirk's improved into a more "effective" scorer as he grew older (more slashing and high percentage shots) but I'll have to say, he was a much more amazing scorer when he was young. You'll never see him hit those types of shots these days; he's much more pre-occupied milking superstar calls.

  • back in the day, he just had nash feed him the ball at the perimeter and hit threes all day but *sigh* don nelson left...

  • your totally wrong....he is way more polished now....has incredible post moves and is just a flat out better scorer....he couldn't play as good one on one and down-low game then. Also when he drove to the basket he was a little more out of control.

  • Agreed, he became an average defender, too. A lot of his old mistakes do not happan anymore and people do not laugh about his presence on D anymore ..., at least those who actually watch Mav games.

  • Yeah this was a incredible game, gotta love Nick Van Exel and Walt Williams. I always have wondered when that season ended why the Mavs didnt bring back Walt Williams.

  • Nick Van Exel=a freaking god.

One of my favorite Mavs' games ever...while waiting for that Van Exel floater to drop in, it felt like forever. Then I ran around the room yelling in celebration.
