They are both insanely hard to knock off the puck and can make outstanding plays. Crosby seems like he is Forsberg with a slight advantage in every category. You give Foppa 9/10 in every category and Crosby 9.5 in every category. There both the best/most complete of there generations though.
I would give Sidney the edge in scoring but defense, physicality and passing are Forsberg's hands down. Forsberg was able to control games with his physicality Sidney not so. Forsberg's puck control is unrivaled he playe din the dead puck era where clutch and grab was at its pinnacle. Sidney doesnt have to deal with Bohemian like d-man like Hatcher to grab him and sit on him.

They are horrible defensemen who always seem to misplay the puck and then half the time they can't get back into their own end fast enough. Cumiskey is supposed to be fast as lightning but he's never back to stop the rush. Fast at getting into shit is Cumiskey and Quincy couldn't make a play in either end if his life was on the line.

Defense may be 'harder' to learn, but it's easier to play defense consistently. As a forward you have to do 'extra' things to make a difference. Crosby brought the Pens back down 4-0 nothing against the Buffalo Sabres back in February in the 2nd period.
So what did he do? he scored 3 goals inthe span of 7 minutes. The pens won that game thanks to Crosby flat out dominating the puck and willin ghis team to a win. Crosby is dominant.

Besides, Crosby is better when he plays with people that isn't as good as him, giving him more responsability. That is where he shines. Just look how he played with other Canadian stars during the Olympics; he was awful.

You can't compare Crosby and Forsberg. Seriously. Crosby plays in 2010 and Forsberg had his moments in the late -90.
Two diffrent periods of hockey. Though I've got to say that Crosby is probably going to be the next hockey legend after Gretzky and Lemieux. I hate Crosby though, he's such a crybaby & diver.
Forsberg is my favorite player of all time, his style of hockey is amazing to watch.

@Enten901 Ill just start by saying that my favorite 3 players of all time are Forsberg, Crosby and Sakic. So if anyone can make a fair comparison its me. I watched every game both have ever played. They are both insanely hard to knock off the puck and can make outstanding plays. Crosby seems like he is Forsberg with a slight advantage in every category. You give Foppa 9/10 in every category and Crosby 9.5 in every category. There both the best/most complete of there generations though.

I would give Sidney the edge in scoring but defense, physicality and passing are Forsberg's hands down. Forsberg was able to control games with his physicality Sidney not so. Forsberg's puck control is unrivaled he playe din the dead puck era where clutch and grab was at its pinnacle. Sidney doesnt have to deal with Bohemian like d-man like Hatcher to grab him and sit on him.

@Hurley474 Budaj's been playing fairly well with Anderson injured. The people I can't stand watching are Quincy and Cumiskey. They are horrible defensemen who always seem to misplay the puck and then half the time they can't get back into their own end fast enough. Cumiskey is supposed to be fast as lightning but he's never back to stop the rush. Fast at getting into shit is Cumiskey and Quincy couldn't make a play in either end if his life was on the line.

Defense may be 'harder' to learn, but it's easier to play defense consistently. As a forward you have to do 'extra' things to make a difference. There is a reason that the most skilled players ever in the NHL have all been forwards, and no I'm not going by stats. Yes Myers deserved the Calder, but no, Myers is not a more skilled hockey player than Duchene is..... not even close.

Sidney Crosby brought back the Penguins against The Flyers in the 09 playoffs down 3-0 in the elimination game and scored 2 goals, 2 assists in the 3rd period and the last 2 minutes of the 2nd period.
Crosby brought the Pens back down 4-0 nothing against the Buffalo Sabres back in February in the 2nd period.
So what did he do? he scored 3 goals inthe span of 7 minutes. The pens won that game thanks to Crosby flat out dominating the puck and willin ghis team to a win. Crosby is dominant.

Anderson needs to prove without a shadow of a doubt that he is a bonafide number 1. I believe he can be and I guess we will see this next season. When the Avs get rid of dead weight like Adam Foote, Darcy Tucker etc. this team should be alot better.
