Listen all of you, this video is of people singing sacred orin to the orisa. We should not be arguing about silly things that really have nothing to do with the video.
wait slow da FUCK UP HAUSA IGBO OR YORUBA WE ARE ALL DA SAME PPL AND YES AM YORUBA IS EITHER YOU LIKE NIGERIA AS A WHOLE OR HATE US AS A WHOLE THANK U VERY MUCH
Hausa, Ibo, Yoruba we are all the same? Dumbest thing I've ever heard. Just because some white people come in and divvy up africa and then tell us that we are all lumped in the same administrative unit, doesn't mean that we're all the same! Ask the Liberians if their "Liberianness" makes them all the same!
people only deserve food and water? not beauty? faith? community? they are singing praises to Oshun - Goddess of Spring - truly you are angry because you yourself have not done more to help others, please turn that into positive action!
drumming and dancing is our culture. and so no matter how our society looks or what goes on, we still preserve it something u know nothing about because u have none.
So Predictable...Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder... and some can only believe what they can see..but some know the most beutiful things are found within...and those who know history, know that the foundation of which all that we know today, come from the land that we now betray!!!
I cannot express what happened to my DNA when I saw this video. All my cells were awoken and started dancing. I miss my people so much, and truly enjoyed this video. We should continue to post such videos and do our best to preserve our culture.
Seriously, revolution is to be lived, not talked about. In order to maintain a culture, you must practice and preserve it. There is spirit. I am a fuller person - a richer person by viewing this clip. Thank you.
Oh, it was tooo brief! I particularly liked seeing the talking drums and the vibrant beautiful clothes! When I was growing up in the 1950s African Americans were taught {through the mass media} to be ashamed of our African heritage. I'm glad that's changing. Thanks for posting this video!
