tom dick or harry?if yr family is having an emergency,do u bring him/her 2 the nearest doc or u just call 995?go figure.i'm a future paramedic,& i assure u i'm no tom dick or harry.i never regretted becoming 1,so if u think u or any tom dick or harry sees it as an easy job why not join in and see for yourself? while u r sleeping peacefully at nite,we are on call 24/7..ah yeah,i join paramedic not 4 the wage,that's secondary..what's more impt 2 me is that so they may live.period.

Instead of joining SCDF, why not get a Bachelor (BSN) or Master's (MSN) degree in nursing then work overseas such as USA , UK or Australia where prospect and pay is better. Why earn a measely amount as a civil servant when there is always great opportunity overseas as a nurse practitioner. To further add, this paramedic vocation in the scdf any tom dick or harry with a diploma , 5 'O's or higher nitec can join. Think about it.
if u think this is a job for any tom, dick or harry then u are WRONG! scdf paramedics went through stringent test and selection to qualify for paramedic vocation. if think u are better than the well trained paramedics go ahead and take on the job and responsibility of saving other pple's life. if anything happen to ur family do not call 995 for ambulance because the toms, dicks and harrys u mentioned are the one saving them. pls appreciate their help and respect the job! u DICK!
