I love hearing stories like these. It happens to often when the criminal kills the homeowner, why? Because they couldnt defend themselves or their family. The best way to fight against an armed criminal is with a gun. Period.

@TheArmedCitizen I have to disagree a bit here. Maybe not all thieves deserve to be killed but those that rob (which is pretty much stealing through violent force or the threat of it) pretty much deserve to be shot during the act. Anyone breaking into another's home while being armed is about as dangerous a person to be found in our society. They don't deserve a second chance to do it again at innocent people's expense in my opinion.

Sad, sad times. The poor sod defends his home and person with deadly force and the landlord of his (to be) new home wants to back out of the deal. Were I in that situation, I would find a new house to buy rather than put up with that kind of double dealing.

Props to the homeowner for defending himself. I was educated by a lot of teachers that would never have defended themselves in that situation, it is good to see some of them can do so.
