  • Anyone know if this TV has any form of lag which would prevent gaming? (As in, does it have a good refresh rate) I think that since this TV is using laser technology which obviously travels at the speed of light, i hope that means that this TV is just as quick to produce an HD image. Then again, i might be and probably am making a bad assumption about the tech of this TV. Having no image lag would mean this TV will be flawless to me.

  • this TV is already out dated the Japanese are making a new high definition called ultra high definition that will be ready for the consumer in 2016-2020

  • The newer plasmas now only use like 130 - 150 watts average... : P

  • Everything is outdated by the time you buy it. I would imagine that laser reaction time would be faster than lcd. Maybe not plasma. technology and your tv can only help so much on your fps skills. If you suck, don't blame tv. your internet connection lags more than a tv. How is .02 msec going to help vs 2msec .when your internet is 100msec and you suck in first place.

  • fucking bastards i just spent a shitload getting my soon to be outdated 3d tv

  • I'm really interested, but I hear these TVs crop the picture. For a luxury-priced product that is unacceptable.

  • Mitsubishi is a world wide organisation with more then 100 different producs... cars are just one of them

  • Mitsubishi is making TVs now? wtf

whos next Kawasaki and Yamaha LOL

  • Yamaha doesn't need to, they already make nice home theater systems that can go with a TV. Sony seems to be failing in that respect though. Every time I listen to one of their home theater systems, the speakers sound like they ripped them out of a cheap old car.

  • @chan0chap this guy needs to get out more

  • it can do only 1080i @ 60hz

  • @saved83 1080p at 120hz

  • the commercial sucked the tv is amazing can you say 3d ready i can play non 3d games and watch non 3d tv or movies in 3d on this tv

  • what a terrible ad. if this tv is awesomesauce, I didn't get that impression.

  • I agree, I'd prefer an ad that is more technical.

This one is more like: Look flashing lights, Look a dancing lady, please give us 6000 dollars.

  • 7000 dollars

  • Dang, it just makes me want to slap that girl dancing in the face... Dunno why tho.

  • good god this commercial is horrendous.

  • $6.500 is nothing for the billionaire, millionare, six figure salary, or even home movie enthusiast who will buy this.

  • @gnrlstuart

its a one time buy for the rest of your life. it doesnt decay in anyway... unless you loose the remote. i would buy it, just gotta make some more money :P

  • I saw this thing in person omg it looks fucking amazing! even better then the Pioneer kuro elite for P.Q. IMO I'd say it's with the RRP of $6,999, to bad I can't afford one of these beasts =( And it ain't too badly priced against plasma's and lcd's of today either, the only equivalent tv is the Pioneer kuro elite pro-151fd(60 inches) and it's suggested retail price is $6500!

  • Yeah well good to know the laser technology is much cheaper because of the low number of components (lcds, oleds and plasmas are full of electronic crap here and there.. with laser tv you have just a few emitters and control electroncis and that's it) and the overall low difficulty of puttign it together. Thanks Mitsubishi for 7000 for a thing that should cost like 900$ ;) I really now hope you'll fail and will have to put it off the market soon ;)

  • ya i know the production cost of a one of these baddies is only about $1700, I think right now mitubishi is just trying to see how high of a price they can get away with, i got to see inside one of these and basically all it is 3 small lasers for red blue and green with a thin screen and casing around it, prices will come down probably by around 2010.

  • Everyone, also note that in terms of energy consumption, it is one of the "greenest" TVs for it's screen size. A typical 60-65" Plasma will use about 500-600 Watts (gulp) - the 65" LaserVue uses ONLY 135 Watts during operation! This television costs much less to operate than anything else around this screen size. If you are looking at the top-of-the-line flat panel, LaserVue is a much better, more environmentally-friendly choice, in terms of energy use.

  • @believingisseeingit every single LCD/Plasma/LED TV lags, my tv has 33ms of lag. the old tv set (that box) has no lagging, good for gaming, but the resolution lacks for playing on PS3 which supports 1920x1080 resolution...

do you know how many Mili-seconds of lag does this TV do? or it has no lagging?

    also sorry my bad english

  • #1 on my "must buy" list

  • Does any1 no if its a good tv for gaming? no color burns or fades? Ive been waiting for this tv for ages but they said that its not comin to australia and im so disappointed :(

  • For now, it is only being sold in the US. Sorry.

  • yehh thats annoying.. soo is it a good tv for gaming? no color burns or fades? does it damage ur eyes or gives u headaches like the rear projection tvs?

  • It's GREAT for gaming! No color burns. The technology is not dangerous to consumers, but I cannot speak for any particular individual on whether or not it will give anyone a headache, but it does not have any "reputation" for causing headaches. I've had a rear-projection TV and it personally never gave me a headache.

  • I understand there is a market for "upscale products," but I strongly believe the prices for these LaserVue's would have to be cut in HALF for it to be successful over the long term. At the prices they're asking, coupled with the rear projection technology, these sets are several years too late, IMO. However, if those prices come WAY DOWN, then... perhaps.

  • Hi MJM,

Remember it was not too long ago that even 50" flat panels were priced out of the reach of most consumers. Whenever a new, ground-breaking technology comes to market, it will command a price premium, and this is one of those products - please remember this is the world's FIRST LASER-POWERED HDTV!

  • We should wait for the 52 inch version.

This TV will be much more cheaper...

  • Sorry, there will be no 52" version.

  • 6999 Dollar

    Shit....

  • DAMN I WANT HIM!!!!!!

  • I just saw the pricing... $7,000 for the 65 inch. OUCH!!

  • I just had an orgasm

  • Still waiting....

  • that looks so awesome! who is that voice? so sexy!
