I dunno why anyone thinks it works. All you end up with is a sugar encrusted spoon, string-y hard candy chunks in the drink, and possibly a cracked Absinthe glass. For why? What could it possibly add to the drink?

dunno dude. in the old ways of my country alchocol drinks are to be drank pure.
however maybe you are right. I will try it with some cheap absinth. I will not risk my 70% beauty.
