sorry not hold I meant hole, c'mon the d is right below the E lol, anyway like I was saying before, make a spot where you would encourage him to dig, like I said before a sand box or something, put some treats in the sand and hell start digging. And when he/she starts to dig else were correct them but not in a harsh way, some people kick their dog or grab it by the collar and lift them up off there two front feet, "THIS IS NOT CORRECTING" this is being an ass who shouldnt have a husky.
you can't "Make them stop" per say because it is what they consider fun, They also dig the holes because it makes it nice and cool for them in there, My husky used to dig a hold "UNDER" his dog house lol and lay under it during the summer time, even though we let him inside he still liked to be in the dirt and out side and would also sit on top, they like to feel "ON TOP OF THE WORLD" and beneath it too I guess... lol anyway the best thing to do is make a spot for them to dig, like a sand box.
Honestly, couldn't tell you. This is our second husky and during our old guy's 11 years, we were not able to make him STOP digging completely. What we did was just either put wire in the ground around our yard, under the fence so he couldn't get rhtough, or we laid bricks down in the areas he seemed to like digging in along the fence.
Everywhere else, we let him have at it, but we filled the holes right back in. Same with this guy. We only care about the digging so he doesn't get out.

LOL!!! My backyard is littered with holes from my two huskies. I fill them in periodically, but they are redug within a week.
BTW: huskies can get large. My male is at 100 lbs. The female is 55 lbs and looks like a puppy to Denali.
