I honestly thought when this song came out it was going to start a whole new trend in Hip Hop/Rap (I don't know what it is) to make it pretty and smooth and soft. I'm sure this was the first rap song suburban white girls heard and liked and made them run up to their black friends at school and say, "I like rap music".
