  • the year i was born <3 1991

  • baby you set me...

  • hq? audio umadbro?

  • CLASSIC

  • this guy likes nirvana

  • Is this gangsta rap

  • This is the greatest music video of all time!!

  • every song this guy has, has a sample in it! damn it im 33 yr old an i just payed attention

  • drinkin a 40 now reminicsing........

  • Sun Drop commercial:"Citrus Soulmates"

  • I honestly thought when this song came out it was going to start a whole new trend in Hip Hop/Rap (I don't know what it is) to make it pretty and smooth and soft. I'm sure this was the first rap song suburban white girls heard and liked and made them run up to their black friends at school and say, "I like rap music". I guess this sound was a cul-de-sac and not a new direction. I've haven't heard anything this pretty since.

  • This song will FOR EVER be in a playlist of "baby making music"

  • this is on the new sundrop comercial...hahahaha

  • listen this kind of music make me feel so peacefull inside:-)

  • one-hit wonder but it still kicks ass!

  • @tricky2906 Die without was a hit too I think

  • THUMPS UP IF YOUR LISTINING TO THIS IN 2012!!

  • This song was 20 years ago no.10 in the world charts #pm #dawn

  • thumbs up if u had this on cassette!

  • I also remember the 90s as being very afrocentric in a positive way. How did we go from dreds and fades and braids and twists to wearing other people's hair as fake weaves today? I've never understood how that happened. The 90s had so much soul and pride. It's like we went backwards after the 90s, back to hating our natural hair and bodies. It's sad, really.

On the rock tip, there was a kickass fusion of rock and rap happening that was the bomb. Rage Against the Machine etc What happened?

  • I agree, what happened!

  • This was such a lovely awesome song! Last era of good music I miss the 90s!

  • When I doo doo is my shit not brown?

  • @venomblade891 Yo, everytime I hear this song, I think of that movie. That was the best burn ever.

  • good old day..............

  • i still have recorded tapes i jam to every now and then... even stuff i used to make radio stations on cassettes lol

  • This is NOT high quality audio (or video for that matter).

  • @mmarialexx This song is 20 years old and it's not a super famous song... You can't expect much better...

  • @mmarialexx

does it really matter when the music is so coollll

  • I remember being heartbroken over some girl in high school when this song came out and listening to this. AHH to be young and naive again!!!!

  • Me and Christiano's sog<3

  • Back when music had an actual beat & people would rap TO THE BEAT. Unlike Drake & Lil Wayne garbage!

  • T Pain?!

  • who remembers mp3's, 3d tv, and blu--ray? ahhh those were the days how did we ever survive

  • I'm yiug but I really love this song. They should rap more .

  • ha HAAAA haaaa

  • too hot mashed up paid in full with true...OMG...brilliant

  • a huge guilty pleasure AND always reminds me of "Fear of a black hat" 'Im only Human"

  • One hit wonder, well thats the way it goes I guess

  • what ever happened to PM Dawn? I wanted her to be a big PM Dawn fan...

  • the song called True with the same music, who sings it ?

  • @kikibluex Spandau Ballet - True. That Song Always Reminds Me of The Ending of The Wedding Singer.

  • @TPFEnigma aww i've never seen it, and thankyou :) x

  • Wow, I almost forgot how soft E-40 was in 1991.

  • damn this sucks best song ever and it only has 1.7mil views.. how is it possible that a sneezing panda can obtain / have 125milion views and its fake videos pulling 3-5mil views.. and this song has only 1.7mil :(

  • i thuroughly enjoyed this song! thanks for uploading it!

  • Biggie ain't got sh** on PM Dawn...

  • @oberonprime1 your fucking delusional.

  • @BartsBeatz Thank you! I couldn't believe dude typed that. There's not enough crack in the world to bribe a crackhead into saying something like that.

  • @oberonprime1 You didn't type that. You didn't just type that. A teletubby could sing the "Mahna Mahna" song in a helium voice and still sound more authentic than this chump. Dude's lyrics are more weak than 7 days. I've seen better rappin' come from beneath a Christmas tree. The only good thing that came out of them was when KRS-One threw them off stage.

  • Good old days....when people were still real...a time were men were not as beautiful as woman and woman were not as fake as a Cheap Chanel Bag!!!!:)

  • Grimace meets Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. I thought I forgot this tragic train wreck in rap music.

  • @Sleepyfist LOL!! I normally don't laugh at something that I totally disagree with but your comment did make me chuckle. I would not try to compare this song with rap. This song was popular on radio at a time when most people were listening to the end of the hair band days...the era of 90s gangster rap had a few more years before it became popular - which I wish never had.

  • @celebfan2 I hear you but PMS Dawn basically took what the Native Tongue movement (Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul etc) were doing and sprinkled fairy dust over it. Not even dust, more like fairy sugar sprinkles. The video is like some kind of Spring Shower soap commercial. Almost 2million views? This is like some Rod Sterling dimension. Soft rap is cool if it's something like:

    Tribe Called Quest-Bonita Applebum

    Pharcyde-Otha Fish

    Pharcyde-Passin Me By

    Justin Warfield-Season of the Vic

  • this is so cute for a first date or something 90's baby!!!!!!!!!!

  • Some of Jersey's finest!!!

  • HQ my fuckin arse!

  • Classic

  • Love the definitive hip hop break beat.

  • very chilled out :-)

  • Most chill and relaxing song ever made!

  • Great music!

  • Grade 8 + This Track = DOPE

  • diz song was the shit!!!

  • Thinking of a master plan...

  • The camera pans the cocktail glass..

behind a blind of plastic plants..

I found the lady with the fat diamond ring..

then you know I can't remember a damn thing..

I think it's one of those de ja vu things..

or a dream that's tryin' to tell me something..

Or will I ever stop thinkin' about it..

    I don't know, I doubt it..

  • I loved this song!

  • to the 77 dislikes...im sorry this isnt a niki minaj track...u wouldnt understand this music

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Who remembers recording songs off the radio onto tapes?! LOL. The good ol' days.

  • @Bigvader And putting tape on already recorded cassettes to record over! lol

  • @Bigvader - hey buddy- i do remember................spending days 2 record the right song-without comments or ad`s.....

  • Comment removed

  • @oomoonbeam LOL! I hated it when the damn DJs would start talking before the song was over. You sit there for God knows how long listening to the top ten just to get to your favorite so you can record it, get through almost the entire thing, proud of how quickly you were able to hit "record." Then, when there's still half a chorus left to be sung..."Rising quickly from number five to the number 2 slot, that was P.M. Dawn with 'Set Adrift On Memory Bliss..." Me: "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! lol

  • @Bigvader Ironic but it happens on this video also. Totally cuts off at the end. Nooo!!

  • @Bigvader hahahahaha! OMG I hated when the DJ's used to do that uuugh!!! that was so annoying!

  • @Bigvader Remember "Open House Party"? We had it here in Cleveland on what was Power 108 (107.9 FM).

  • @007mrcnote Oh yeah! HAHAHA! We had it on Star 93.1 in Knoxville! Memories...

  • @007mrcnote wow I remember Power 108 (107.9) that's crazy lol!

But do you remember Jammin 92FM (92.3)?

They used to play this all the time.

  • @Bigvader ...lol, i do.

  • @Bigvader i did my mom recorded Romantic by Karyn white on there

  • @Bigvader that was my cup of tea, good good good times!

  • @Bigvader OH MAN! I used to do that too! Those were the best times. I just miss them. I hate we had to grow up lol

  • @Bigvader That's exactly what I did with this song!

  • @Bigvader When MTV played nothing but music videos, I used to tape nothing but music videos on 6-hour speed on my VCR. lol

  • @TheGirlFromCRUSH Me too!

  • @Brivonn1 Did you tape Live Aid, too? I had to actually set the clock to remind me to switch tapes every 6 hours so I could get the whole 18 hour event on three tapes on 6-hr speed.

  • @Bigvader OMG and I use to record the hell outta songs off the radio! I stayed with my RCA and Sony cassettes all clear and ready to record! And I use to get the ones that comes in different colors just so I know who which radio station or artist I recorded LOL damn I miss those days!

  • Tuuuuuuuuune

  • hq audio my ass

  • TRUE

  • do anybody make a punk version of this song...I would like to hear a punk rock version.

  • Wish there was still music like this please come back!

  • don't compare drake or other similar music from now with this because this is straight up, innocent and damn cool just like brianab31said and thats what the 90's would help to stay TRUE and PURE just like the 80's stood despite anything nasty trying to get on top of hitlists or whereever its trying to crawl up and overwelm its nastyness directly or indirectly like it is with most music nowadays incl. drake etc.

  • Disliked for the terrible sound quality

  • i know i was only ten when this came out..but I really really do miss this 'era' of music. I'm not saying this was the BEST era of music, but it just brought such another level of peace and love. you dont hear that type of music anymore.

  • i'm sorry this is wack. if i was the same age i am now when this came out i would NOT slap this. this is like the equivent to Drake, big sean and other corny rappers out now. think about who else was out around this time.. Rakim, LL, big daddy kane, Tribe, etc. this is corny as fuck lmao.

  • @dlklfhd First of all really Big Sean and PM Dawn really? I could maybe see Drake cause he's more sensitive type music but not Big Sean. Second Just cause they're not rapping about some gangbangin shit or the hood which in all honesty has been done to death for like 3 decades doesn't make it corny. Not to mention I bet you everyone of the people on your list respected PM Dawn.

  • @SumFreshDkaf word, drake is probably a better example. but tribe wasn't on that hood shit, de la wasn't either. but they were dope. this is that super soft Prince blouse music.

  • @dlklfhd nothing really wrong with soft hip hop music....i mean you have to be versitile.....look at LL he made mad soft hits...but when he needed to spit hardcore he did....look what he said to cannibus

  • @MrMarvel0us true. but this is so soft its borderline r&b. i just can't get with it. it's classic now because of how old it is but this would have gotten no play in my whip. don't get me wrong i dnt like to sit and listen to hyper masculine aggressive shit all day but this is just embarrassingly soft. like this is that fingernail polish music. lol but yeah it does provide a balance i agree.

  • @dlklfhd i guess i digs this song and just found out that these guy lived down the street from me. but i digs how the remixed a classic song and mad a hit...yea this is a soft song id play it if i was kickin back with a shorty...but i think LL's "i need love" was way softer than this...and beside that alot of new artist has a similar flow like pm's

  • @dlklfhd it's more a statue of heart rather then a statue of mind

  • @kelyaum RESTORE: "state"

  • This is what Music was like before the Xfactor Shite!! I thank God everyday I grew up in these times.

  • damn this track always use to make me think of some fine beautiful woman doing a seductive dance for me with her waiving some sort of see threw panty scarf.. around

  • remembering my high school days....batch '94...still loving this one....

  • Many years ago I turned to a friends roommate and said I thought I looked a little like the fat guy from PM Dawn. It caused him to blow molten hot wing sauce through his nose, he never spoke to me again, that's the way it goes... I guess.

  • R.I.P to real music

  • backstreet boys should of left this song alone

  • one of the baddest remix of all time....

  • ≠ HQ but Music TOP Q

  • 240 ≠ HQ !!!

  • This song was 20 years ago no.5 in the world charts #pm #dawn

  • chilltown

  • I would love to hear old p diddy and biggie on this beat.... omg

  • great re-make....better than Spandau

  • R.I.P.

  • essa mucica é foda.

  • '91 untill half '92 was the last time the 90's were cool after that it became such filled with so much crap like they wanted hits to become like nowadays

  • All these years later, Christina Applegate is still a babe!

  • I first aquired the cassette tape from my ex-girlfriend, Louisa Karapetyan back around 1992, the year of our Emperor. For those who didn't catch the sample being used, it was the english singing group known as Spandau Ballet with the track: "True". Feel free to GOOGLE the information given above. c("c)...

  • TOP !

  • THIS IS WHEN RADIO WASN'T FULL OF SHYT!!!!

  • wow.... what a trip back, these were the best days! I love this song :)

  • @pbacorey you are preaching to the choir all the way around with your comment....I remember making a tape...pm dawn, ll cool j, milli vanilli(before the scandal), jesus jones, emf, all that stuff.

  • @pbacorey You Are Sooo Right God I Miss The 90's!!!

  • @pbacorey I'm 40, so I'm with ya. I miss when rap and hip-hop were sweet, innocent, and damn cool.

    PM Dawn were SO cool!

  • @brianab31

Rap and hip hop weren't all that sweet back then either. The Chronic and Doggystyle came out the year after this, and NWA, Onyx, Wrex n Effect and Cypress Hill were all big at the time. But yeah, you have a point, this was a cool groove and they just don't make em like this anymore...

  • @stonebridge999 Lol that was just the time things were about to get nasty just where we was talking about the time before that wasn't like that check my comment before haha funny it really changed at that crucial point like you are talking about "the chronic etc."

  • @pbacorey I was 18 when this came out.. I can remember dancing at the clubs (18+) lol those were the days!!!~Peace

  • this song brings me back to year s where music of difernt styles still worthed while to listen anyaway...

  • 90's best list

    best anime: evangelion

    best basketball player: Michael Jordan

    best song: all of them...

    .

  • Great use of Spandau Ballets "True"!

  • thumbs if you are listening this on 2011 ande the next years it comes :D

  • This song was 20 years ago no.10 in the world charts #pm #dawn

  • sample based tune are only as good as the sample they use. "True" is already a fine song, PM Dawn flipped it and made it funky!

  • beast of a tune

  • The original biggie and puff daddy.

  • This song will forever be a Masterpiece and a work of art.

  • Oh 90's take me away !

  • still listening to this in 2014..... like seriously
