I think he meant that songs like this even if its in Arabic or Spanish, the lyrics loose their beauty translated into English. He was looking at the poetry of the song. There are some songs in Spanish that are so beautiful that when you go to translate the lyrics from Spanish to English or if someone tries to sing it in English, the beauty, the poetry is lost in translation.

No, it is not a song meant for Muslims, it is meant for Palestinians. Also, I didn't invent the term "church bells", the original document on which the song is based explictly mentions Christians ringing their church bells in honour of these three men's memory. Hope that clears it up :)
