  • I wonder... how about making a slow motion vid with gun bullet travel through baloon full of mercury. I am curious because if given a dense enaugh liquid and high velocity the bullet should react as if hitting a solid object. Would love to see if it deforms in moment of impact.

  • @YuriPRIMEpoland It would be pretty hard to contain that, the mercury would probably splatter all over the place. It is an interesting idea though.

  • what happens if you get that stuff on your skin?

  • @fatdrood Nothing. Long term, repeated exposure isn't good though.

  • I just thought of a cool slomo shot. have a bullet travel between two charged electrical wires, and watch the spark jump to and from the bullet while in flight.

  • @KironStrife That's a creative idea. Might be hard as heck to pull off though. I'll look into it.

  • Amazing to watch. I didn't know mercury was that heavy

  • @CRAZYLOCKSMITH Thank you! I really am enjoying your locksmithing videos, keep them coming!

  • I was concerned for you.... but not as concerned as I was for my lakes and streams... Please dispose of this properly when you've had your fun. mercury scares the shit out of me.

  • @Saugerknaut I dont have any plans on dumping this in a lake.

  • just like if u popped a water balloon

  • @ConstipatedLemur Just 14 times heavier than water. May not look real heavy but it kind of messes with your senses when you pick it up.

  • @taofledermaus I wish i could touch some

  • Awesome! If it weren't that toxic, a bucket full of Hg would be the only toy I need for a very long time. Thanks for sharing.

  • wats soo good bout dis

  • @TheBrissenden what's a dis?

  • @taofledermaus i think he means this

  • Those tiny droplets make me unreasonably nervous.

  • @JamesMonroeV I think you'll be ok.

  • worst 720p video ever.

  • @coffeetablesex Better than your 0p video huh?

  • this is what i imagine bursting a testicle would resemble

  • how many thermomiters did you break open

  • Mercury is only dangerous if you ingest it or if a large amount gets in an open wound. its not as deadly as people think.

  • @Festivejelly this is so wrong it scares me... go look up mercury poisoning, moron.

  • @Festivejelly Not true. The metal itself may not be as dangerous as people make out if in direct contact with the skin or ingested (it's poorly absorbed unless it is a mercury salt). However mercury vapour IS readily absorbed by the body and even minor doses can cause adverse symptoms. Where there's mercury there is mercury vapour.

  • @iexusuxei Salts are much more toxic, but organic hg compounds win by far. Dimethyl mercury is a colorless, innocuous looking liquid that is readily absorbed by the body and absolutely deadly even in trace amounts and short exposure time. Nightmare substance.

  • @AnythingButSerious Wow did not know about that. Thanks for the info!

  • The T1000 frowns on such shenanigans. Now, call to John.

  • I like this because it feels like it was made in 1991

  • song makes me want to play skyrim

  • dude why do you post these garbage hi speed physics when you dont know how to record or edit also when you replay something let it finish atleast once tard

  • @champwagner Ok, guy who has none of his own videos...

  • @taofledermaus but seriously i wanna see the whole thing

  • @qkreotjd The day I uploaded this, I got a lot of comments about how I should have focused a little more on the splashes. I was trying to keep the video around a minute long so I edited out a lot of the good bits. The next day I uploaded a more detailed video showing the splashes better. If you are still interested, you should see it at the right -->

  • @champwagner A better vid of me bangin yo mamma in slow mo is on my channel Check it out !!!!

  • @champwagner

    u mad bro

  • Oh god. That's hardcore. You popped the balloon with some skin exposed at the wrist.

  • @FSTK Thanks!

  • Ah, the beauty of perfect fluidness...

  • Does mercury leave a toxic residue behind?Example-if you poured liquid mercury into a glass then emptied the mercury out, would the glass need to be sanitized before using for drinking? It leave any residue or traces behind? Thanks for your or anyone elses answer in advance

  • @94vettelover2 Oh yes for sure. If you ahve ever put mercury in a glass, it's best to just simply throw the glass out. ANY small trace of mercury can lead to drastic consequences including seizures and cancer. Mercury is difficult to clean and if it has been in a class or something you use for food it is best to just not use it again

  • @94vettelover2 Personally I wouldn't use a container that had mercury in it for eating/drinking from.

  • @94vettelover2 I think it depends of the container itself, but as @taofledermaus said, It's never safe to use any container that has been in contact with a toxic element!

  • And thus, the first T1000 was born.

  • wow :O that mstve cost a buck :O :P nyc video tho :P :)

  • wow beautifull!

  • @soverato3 Thank you for watching!

  • How were you able to get so much of it?

  • This is like a 6 lb middle finger to the EPA lol... I sure do hope you were careful in containing the mercury...

  • taste it!

  • AWESOME :D

  • AWWW, why does this stuff have to be bad for us mortals? TT^TT

    I'd swim in this stuff!

  • It would be so cool to swim in Mercury, other than the lifetime of seizures afterwards from mercury poisoning

  • @kalloused the pressure in the mercury would make it difficult or impossible to swim in. You could sorta wiggle around in it up to maybe 15-45 cm deep, but after that, the pressure would be too much.

Because of this, I'm thinking it would make a good bed though — far superior to a water mattress I think.

  • All I can say is HEAVY METAL!!!!!!!

  • looks like a ball sack

  • They popped terminator!

  • almost looks fake...crazy...i wanna drink it

  • Looks like some hard work, why are some of the comments so disrespectful? Good job, nice video.

  • @Pxrple Thank you! There's always going to be disrespectful comments. The pleasant comments make it all worthwhile though.

  • @taofledermaus yes i hate haters does that make me a hater

  • awsome

  • how did i get here frome beys

  • Next time put the jug on a bed of dry ice so the mercury hardens instantly at the bottom into a frozen splash.

  • @ taofledermaus is that a normal ballon, how much does that mercury weigh?

  • Its good on toast

  • @TheyLiveWeObey Mercury is not dangerous to be around. It is only dangerous to ingest or handle.

  • surprise buttsex

  • @TheyLiveWeObey lol where did you get that from? you clearly do not understand what you are talking about

  • I never knew there was mercury in a ballsack.

  • when my parents were children their science teacher used to put it on their desks for them to fool around with. they are fine. I am fine, its only long term exposure and or ingestion that is deadly.

  • @squat224 Exactly. Some people seem to believe that just being in close proximity to it for a few seconds is going to kill them, and some people think it gives you cancer. There's a lot of hysteria out there about mercury.

  • @squat224 like cavity fillings

  • @squat224 same!

  • Mercury in my opinion is one of the coolest looking liquids in the world.. Too bad its such a shitty thing for your body to come in contact with

  • its just so clean, beautiful and somehow look so perfect... just simple beauty.

thank you for sharing and making another of my short life 1 mniute and 37 seconds enjoyble :)

  • @Rawrielistic Thanks for the nice words!

  • this is beautiful

  • @TheyLiveWeObey It's ok, only second-hand mercury fumes are harmful.

  • Stunning view!

  • Did not know that T-1000 could fit in a balloon that small.

  • That's really cool!

  • @CasioEXF1Freak Thanks bro!

  • Probably the coolest thing I've ever seen!

  • @billhaley1868 Thanks Bill!

  • @billhaley1868 the only thing cooler would be if it turned into that guy from Terminator II

  • @gl797 Too right!

  • Where the hell did you find a unicorn to take that from?

    -FT

  • @FatTonyBBX I couldn't find a unicorn so I had to squeeze it out of a minotaur. lol

  • @taofledermaus wait if you give a minotaur a handjob it jizzes mercury? that sounds fun :D someone find me a minotaur lol! :D

  • Where did you get that much Mercury?

  • Not dangerous or anything.

  • awesome

  • so im gonna see this video on pornhub soon or what?

  • Excellent!

  • @bowlingballout Thanks!

  • He'll be back. O_o

  • So can you just buy it like anywhere?

  • whats mercury

  • @legoreddragon also known as quicksilver

  • Very Cool Splash!

Most People Don't Know Mercury Occurs in Nature. I Have Found it When Prospecting for Gold!

    Thank You!

  • was that T1000's nut sack?

  • minus one proton per atom and you have gold baby!!!, thanks to 9gag for been so informative :)

  • So beautiful, and so deadly.

  • Awesome vid! Love the splash. Looks like the mercury dissapears.

  • That looks like a ball sack.

  • That looks cool in slow motion! :D Kinda like Terminator 2 bad robot! LOL! Liked!

  • That's so cool. Good idea.

  • did you loose much looked like it came up fair way

  • soo cool and splash is more cool. lol

  • ....He'll be BACK!!!

  • thank you for making my suggestion (from shooting water balloons I think) real :) you're the Man! with capital M!

  • Liquid metal

  • ITS SO SHINY!!!

  • Thats very cool . How many oz was that ?

  • @krazy45cat Probably close to 100 oz.

  • @taofledermaus Unreal :)

  • that is strangely beautiful!

  • that is strangely beautiful!

  • Nice video! If you ever get the chance to do this again, could you show the motion of the mercury when it lands in the tub until it stops?

  • @SamIves85 I am going to upload another one showing that. I was trying to keep this video somewhat short and edited out some interesting stuff.

  • Another great demo.... The splash is amazing.

Would like to see the all movement after the splash of the Hg until it stops on the bottom of the basket.

  • @Aegeanhawk The splash is actually pretty interesting and I edited out a lot of that, I was trying to keep the video from being too long. I'll upload a more detailed video showing that.

  • @taofledermaus Nice, thanks!!!

  • That looks completely wacky when it hits the bottom of the tub, very strange splash. Awesome video!

  • @FuzzyDicePimp It really is. I edited out a lot of that too so I'll upload another video in the next day or so showing more of the aftermath of the splash. Thanks for stopping by!

  • strangely beautiful.

  • now put it in a gun and shoot it

  • I need mercury to remove residues of lead from the barrel of my 1911

  • i wish mercury wasn't toxic, it is so cool!

  • @503Gerry

    Many cool things are toxic

    And illegal

  • Tao where are you getting this Mercury, I looked for a supplier but the cost is usually over $100.00 a lbs in most cases. I have an experiment that requires a large quantity however its financially impossible for me to acquire the necessary amount at the prices I've seen...

  • @Prometheus203 I honestly had no idea what the cost of this stuff is. For years I salvaged it from mercury contactors at a plant I worked at. I'd remove the mercury from these large relays prior to disposing the main unit. There was a few oz in each one. My boss would let me have the stuff, it was easier for him to do that than pay to dispose it.

  • Very good, thanks.

  • pop a balloon filled with ferromagnetic fluid over a tub filled with magnets

  • @TheDragonsword123 that would be interesting!

  • Run before he gains his shape again!

  • That's amazing! Looks like the mercury almost dissipates while going into the corner of the bucket!

  • The splash looks like a splash from a 3d fluid simulation

  • I always wanted to take something like a fastfood cup and fill it with water and ice. Then take the lid off and as its pouring out take a picture so I can see it in the air. This is much better though.

  • glad you finally did that :)

  • Very cool.

  • Great idea. Great video.

  • @bisquik3006 Thank you!

  • When the mercury hits the bucket is looks so violent. Great video dude.

  • if they made a condiment for the word dope, this would be dope sauce

  • I think it'd be cool to set up some kind of "Rube Goldberg" course with it if you could figure out how to do that safely.

  • Who Disliked this? this shit is dope.

  • @buhrrito Probably some guy I ticked off a year ago and still is mad. lol

  • @taofledermaus dont u know better than to make people butthurt!!!!!! the youtube police will arrive shortly

  • @paintballdude902 I almost cringe when I upload these videos because I end up getting a lot of comments from "experts" lecturing me on how I am going to die of cancer or whatever. lol.

  • You sholud shoot mercury balloon with air rifle or airsoftgun :)

  • Thats a lot of Mercury that must of cost a lot of money?

  • nicely done

  • So it hit the water and the mercury splashed instead of that water? o.O

  • @turtleownage There wasn't any water in the tub, it does splash pretty strangely though, how it all goes outward so exaggerated.

  • where did you found all that hg O:

  • the splash was for more interesting then the pop of the balloon

  • @jackoadeetayo1 I agree, it didn't expect to see that.

  • @taofledermaus nor did i

  • @taofledermaus How about dropping pure magnesium into water. That shit is wicked! Dont forget u heard it from me :P

  • @ImpendingLee you mean the splash of the water when a block of magnesium hits it? I know you mean one of the cutable metals that make boom when they hit water and are stored in oil, but magnesium is not one of them :P they make motors for racing car out of magnesium, would be funny to see that race when it rains

  • @DeanMalenko I stand corrected. I was so eager to share this that i forgot my facts. I meant a chunk of magnesium that is set on fire, the water that is either poured on it or the magnesium itself thrown into the water while burning. So yes, you are absolutely right.

  • @ImpendingLee hehe I know that feeling :) and yes I agree, burning magnesium in water would be cool. Scubadivers already use magnesium torches to see underwater. Though on a small scale I would think it would simply look like a jacuzzi with all the bubbling and light :P

  • @DeanMalenko on second thought, a "huge" freaking chunk in a soda bottle? Im outta ideas lol

  • @taofledermaus watch?v=1kVh4NQ7geg&feature=related

  • I read the title like "Balloon of MERCURY (hg) Pooped"

  • very cool video.

  • Wait where did you get all of that mercury from - isn't it like highly poisonous?

  • @ivakpavlov he actually explained in one of his videos that he got it from where he used to work i think. pretty sure that's it anyway, working off my memory right now lol

  • @90909009 It was my old job and I removed the mercury from mercury contactors that went bad. Over time I saved up quite a bit of it. You were close. lol
