SW-9s are quite rare nowadays; is it common to refit them for remote control? And I thought the law said you had to have warning lights on a remote control locomotive.
These old engines could be controlled via air pressure, in the event you needed more than one in a consist for power, is this controlled with air pressure?
@ekoslosky Title says its an SW900, which is a slightly more powerful version of the SW8, and also has 1 exhaust stack. It's definitely not an SW9, which has 2 stacks as you said.
What's with this new-fangled remote control? In my day, an engineer and a fireman rode in the cab.

@douro20 That's what the strobe lights are for. They weren't on for testing purposes.

GREAT! I think that looks like a SW8 because I think SW9's have 2 smoke stacks. That one only has 1 smoke stack.
