I have never seen the commercial, I have never had a Vashti single or record, but I came here because I read about her in a book and that's a commercial affair, and so is the song to break it down. It is sad great songs have been raped to sell goods..the first big obscure song I remember crossing over was Nick Drake for those VW commercials in 1998ish.. Pink Moon? weird but true.
