Amen! U r right God knows our heart.

...And what others have to remember is- God forgives!! So even if we fall...as long as we GET BACK UP then he honors that and will show mercy & grace. We should not set out to displease God but when u fall just get back up.

Love the way u view this topic- People need realism so thanks 4 sharing. So many have been hurt by the "Saints" because instead of trying to educate they have judged. Good topic!

I think you're getting to the heart of unrighteous judgment. And the bulk of your statement is important...righteous judgment is abstaining from judging others---and judging the beam in your own eye.

Faith is a journey of submitting our will to the Father--like Christ submitted His will. The Holy Ghost will teach us step by step the actions we can take to be more faithful every day.

We ought not be concerned with judging our fellow man, but serving them!

God honors the heart and not your garment. To Him you should be dressed with love and sincereness. However, man does look at your outside. You have to consider who you are ministering to? and who do you want to attract? Some people will not listen to you if you do not look a certain way. They will be distracted away from the message and focus more on the Word. We were made differently to attract different people and how we choose to dress goes along with it.

You are deep. I love your topics & your thoughts. To me, a Christian can come in all shapes, colors, from the richest to poorest, smartest and not so smart, but their spirit and their heart exudes the love for Christ in how they carry themselves in a Godly way. We all are sinners and being a Christian in such a worldly place is challenging, but a true believer overcomes this challenge and doesn't need to look a certain way to me because its what's on the inside that shines on the outside.

Gwen, this is an interesting topic to address. Some Christians are even still hung up on to the idea that "makeup" is not "Christian like" and I've never understood that. I feel that the Lord wants us to look our best (that is without being vain of course)......just my take on it. Thanks for opening the dialogue!

A christian is just someone striving to be Christ like. The Word dictates what we should and shouldn't look like and the guidance of God makes us each individual which makes up the body of Christ.

It is best to please God than to try to live up to the expectation of man! So we can just ask the question is God pleased with this and let him guide us all.

A Sinner saved by grace,one who has came in seeking the Savior.When "we" came "we" came with baggage,etc. that "we" need to have removed. And in putting off the old things of the world "we" become NEW CREATURES.

2Corinthians 5:17 tells us ,Therefore if any man be in Christ,he is a newcreature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.That's where the "NEW LIFESTYLE" comes in . Visual things that are still there and cannot be removed use it as a Testimony.

Gwen, this is a great video! I truly believe being a Christian is a way of life..but why do "Holy Folk" forget that they have a past and have done things that only God knows about....yet they're the ones that are quick to judge. I have a video on my favorites called "Holy Folk" that brownsexyslim did and it touches on some of the exact ways that I feel. I may have gotten off the topic a little....but I hope you get where I'm coming from. I agree that this video is on POINT!

U r so right!!! "Church folk" can b some of the most judgmental people. If I miss a Sunday or two it's always the same busybodies to be n my face sayin I missed u last Sunday and I'll say well I know u r excited 2 see me 2day. My mom just frowns @ me and my husband smiles. Lol, I've worshipped and been a member of the same church since birth and I learned early on I can't be concerned about what people think... I had a piercing and I'm still a Christian. Even though the Lord had me remove it from my face, nothing has changed. I wasn't any different then from when I first entered the parlor up till this point where I no longer have it. The way I dress, I am very versitile. One day I can dress up in skulls, chains and spikes all over my body, another day I can wear tight clothing depending on how I feel. Everybody comes in differently.

An employee at my church is always standing on the Bible beating up folks, and shes forgotten that she has done everything but died....those are usually the ones....it sickens me. GOD does not sleep nor slumber he sees all this mess.
