Don't think anyone can realistically judge vocals based on a mobile phone video. Saw them in Boston on Tuesday and trust me, that was probably the tightest performance I've seen in a VERY long time.
It was some type of makeup,part of his stage costume... I'm pretty sure he also had these messed up contacts in his eyes too.
His voice tends to crack here and there during their shows but i think it's understandable considering the vocal ranges required for most of their heavy songs.
