Cmon. Minutes to Midnight was more meloic, mature, and deeper in meaning. It was in the same level as hybrid theory/meteora. I dont get why you people have to hate it so much; its a great album, only softer. Also, the new album thats coming out is supposed to be different from anything else they have done, so don't be surprised if it's not your style.

it just felt like they were more in to their projects, and their music, creating what they wanted to create.

I actually think Meteora was the best album. It's like HT and M2M combined. (Even though M2M came later). It has rock, metal, rap, rap-rock, slow rock, everything.

Although I do think LP did go overboard with the profanity in M2M. Mostly in Give up. (Although it is an awesome song)

Actually, the St. Anger, Load and ReLoad albums were Metallica selling out to the New Wave of American Heavy Metal scene. They kinda realized their mistake and attempted to patch it with Death Magnetic..they have somewhat returned to their older fans and the man behind it all is Rick Rubin.
