dude... they can lift 850 times their own weight... so if they would weigh that much themselves theyd b able to lift 90kg... and id laugh if your next response says that its true... for 3 g they can lift 2.7 kg, which is incredible but not impossible for an insect of that size, especially one that can fly

It's only true for far smaller beetles like Xylotrupes, which weigh far less than Hercules Beetles.

And by the way, they can only pull 850 times their weight, not lift. Facts like this are frequently muddled up or exaggerated for effect. "Pull" is hardly as strong-sounding as "lift" is it?

When they fight, they don't actually hurt each other, they just toss each other around with their horns, that's what the log is for, sort of a boundary for them to fight in.

sometimes each insects has it´s own temper, and isn´t a specie advantage at all, but more a «temper» influence on the behaviour that has big influence. I have Goliathus cacicus, that are also massive beetles, and even between males of the same size and of the same specie, the more agressive usually is the winner.
