You forgot to mention that at the hostage situation she left her officers out to dry and wouldn't do anything. She also loves the inmates at her new position in NYC... She's hated by her staff...because she cares more about the inmates then officers. She also stole 20k from the corrections budget in a time where she claims she had to cut posts...and spent that money (which was not autorized) on furniture for her office and an extention of her office.
It's funny how you never know what course a person's life will take. Back in high school in the 1960s I have vague memories of a shy quiet little girl I'd see in the hallways. Her name was Dora and she graduated in 1968, a year after I did. Since then Dora Schriro ran the Missouri State Prison system for 8 years, supervised 41 executions, ran the Arizona State Prisons for a few more years and handled the longest prison hostage event in US history. Now she's NYC commissioner of corrections.
