I know he said about different programs, but Teamviewer is good and it's free. It's what I always use. You can even send people a portable tiny app that just connects for them.

I like Viper separate anti-virus/firewall setup. I've had problems with their new integrated virus/firewall. I went back to the stand-alone of each. It's good and cheap. It caught things Kaspersky missed.

Windows Defender does an okay job but AVG is much better at catching the serious viruses. AVG is the best anti-virus I've ever used, I use it on my Win7 machines and has always caught the viruses and removed them before it did any damage.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials, it's really nice. It's free, lightweight and in real-time.

In 64-bit it uses about 5 mbs but in 32-bit with a PC with 2 gig of RAM it uses about 1.5 mbs.

It uses less RAM if you didn't install the other protection features. Like AVG Internet Shield and link scanners and other stuff. Than it takes up more RAM.

Actually its very true, ive been using it as long as you have and I havent used a SINGLEEEEEE antivirus, im extremely impressed =D no cleanup or defrags no nothing, it runs just like it did the first time.! Win 7 is going to be the best OS for the next couple of years.
