you should be able to equip your pikmin with stick spears and other weapons, also have em riding grub dogs and other things, would be awesome. also different formations for your pikmin army, not just running round all over the place haha
I got a good storyline. Louie is exploring when an enemy boss called Mother Pikpecker takes him to her nest. Olimar and Sagittarius (son) have to find his map pieces and find him before he gets eaten by the Egghatched Pikpecker! I've made only a few enemies so far, but its a good idea. Thumbs up if you like it!
This video reminds me of the time i mailed my ideas i had drawn on paper with specific animation and abilities, to the Nintendo Pikmin group, and guess what? they sent me a letter back that had a limited addition poster signed by all the pikmin team in it, and an explanation why they couldn't use my ideas (they said they wanted to though), apparently you have to have a video game animation degree and had to sign a contract. Oh well, I think pikmin 3 is gonna be great even without our ideas.
I want this in the next Pikmin game: The bulbmin are actually parasite Pikmin that has taken control of Bulborb, so Olimar finds the Pikmin and they can't just take control of the beasts and befriends them. They are Green Pikmin they can take control of more enemies in this game, they have the power of White Pikmin (If they aren't inside an enemy) but are as slow as Purple and the weight of a Red Pikmin, they can't survive in daylight so their Union are in the caves.They don't leave you that way

I'd like the ability to actually explore in the night time rather than just departing until the next day. Of course it should be much more dangerous.
I also feel the game should be 1 huge map, like in Elder Scrolls or GTA. It makes exploring more interesting, because after a certain number of days on a standard level, you've seen everything, and it's all too scripted.

Seeing as though both Pikmin and Pikmin 2 could be beaten before day 15, it can be assumed that Pikmin 3 will take a similar amount of time to beat. That taken into account AND the fact that you probably wont find Bulbmin until a later day means that this is not too broken. Of course there is the fact that some people lengthen the playthrough to enjoy gameplay (like me on my first few playthroughs) But again, 10 Bulbmin per 15 days is not much at all >.>

That's the cost for taking them INTO caves. Once you take them in, they can't get back out. Kind of like in Pikmin 2. Though there is no logical reason for this, besides some kind of fear of large geysers... Oh well. Just a thought.

I'd like them to be more centered around the earth and plant life in some way. I'm not sure I like the idea of a brown pikmin at all. Green makes more sense to me as it's a part of the color scheme they've already gone with. If there's two new types it should be orange and green.
Cool! My thoughts on brown pikmin, though, would be that they dig under then pop back up. Also, for green pikmin, they could whirl and whirl their leaf, bud or flower! And then, as for bulbmin, that would be hard to have to eventualy fight several bulbborbs tryiing to kill you every day. But I like the Idea of ??? 2 to love louie. As for storieline, you could make it so both ??? go on a mission together to get more treasure, then they all meet up!
I LOVE the bulbmin and I hate leaving them in the cave but the problem is that theyre resistant to everything so for some people it'll ruin the fun and you might forget about your pikmin ( but that would be so cute and awesome if you could keep them XP)
They have two distinct "features". Their stem is so long that it bends back and almost touches the ground. It as no muscles to move it, though, so it's completely useless. Instead of hands, their arms come to a sharp point that they attack and break things with. They have the strongest attack power of any Pikmin, about 2.5x the Reds' power. The downside is, since they have no hands, they can't carry anything.
i do think there should be a flying pikmin, but i think the brown pikmin can be improved. Instead of having a spike on them, their hands are circular cups they can use as shovels. Before they are crushed or killed by a bomb, they can dig and plant themselves. they could also pick up bomb rocks. i also think they should be orange instead of brown.

Cool ideas. I think if they make Pikmin 3 they should make it so every monster is in it from 1-2 plus new ones and have every single location plus 5 new ones.
Maybe someone other than Olimar finds the Pikmin world but instead of helping them, he enslaves them and uses them for work. So Olimar gets wind of this and goes to free them.
You should have sprays that contain the parasitic pikmin. But to keep it from Being over powered you can only spray it on small enemy's and they leave the body after 2 or 3 days and kill the enemy
i had a similar idea to one of yours it would be to have parasitic pikmin and u could use them to take over small enemys permanitly are big ones for 1 day
and idk if having a bunch of new pikmins would make it any more enjoyable, i think extending the size of the world and initial objective would be GREAT tho.
also, make emperors strong again. as confident as it makes me feel beating up an emperor in 5 seconds without losing any pikmin (hint: use purples! :D)
lastly, maybe make a few more bosses and another hole of heroes. i like going thru that cave on occasion.

Um, you know there are already green Pikmin, right? Or at least, it's implied in Pikmin 2 that there are. Bulbmin, remember? When you dismiss your Pikmin, each color of Pikmin glows its own color, and Bulbmin glow green. They also appear as green dots on the map. So I don't think there could be green Pikmin. Unless you said that green Pikmin could also have the ability to become a parasite and the abilities in the video are the ones they have before they choose a host.
Plot: 1 year after the events of pikmin 2, the pikmin planet has been secretly under surveilance by Hocotate Freight. One day a strange looking meteor crashes on the planet and a new employee is sent to investigate, however he doesn't come back. Hocotate Freight goes on expedition to find the employee and investigate the meteor. Several space ships set off to the planet all landing in different regions.
The bulbmin thing is neat, I like bulbmin, but seriously? this is quite spectacular ideas. I like brown pikmin and there tails.
I was thinking of having pikmin who have claws on their hands and therefore can climb slippery surfaces and hold onto monsters better.
The flying ones should have horizonatal flying only, not really height benifit, cause that's what yellow are for.
And you not using purples is crazy, they make Pikmin 2 heaps easier

Bomb Pikmin: Can pick up and use bombs as well as withstand their explosions
Flying Pikmin: Can hover or fly over gaps and other obstacles
Night Pikmin (Probably Black): Excellent fighters at night, but not so much at day
Mushroom Pikmin: Also used during the night, and cap can light up to see better

I'd like the ability to actually explore in the night time rather than just departing until the next day. Of course it should be much more dangerous.
I also feel the game should be 1 huge map, like in Elder Scrolls or GTA. It makes exploring more interesting, because after a certain number of days on a standard level, you've seen everything, and it's all too scripted.

every 15 days a bulbmin grows up? it should be they all grow up, but you only battle one, bulbmin are really good, it would make the other pikmin useless

Seeing as though both Pikmin and Pikmin 2 could be beaten before day 15, it can be assumed that Pikmin 3 will take a similar amount of time to beat. That taken into account AND the fact that you probably wont find Bulbmin until a later day means that this is not too broken. Of course there is the fact that some people lengthen the playthrough to enjoy gameplay (like me on my first few playthroughs) But again, 10 Bulbmin per 15 days is not much at all >.>

That's the cost for taking them INTO caves. Once you take them in, they can't get back out. Kind of like in Pikmin 2. Though there is no logical reason for this, besides some kind of fear of large geysers... Oh well. Just a thought.

@ymmot392 actually bulbmin wont become a large bulborb for two reason, 1st is that the dwarf bulborbs actually arent bulborbs there breadbugs,and secound bulbmin,upon research, are actually parasitic pikmin that were eaten by the bulborb which had parasitic pikmin babies

Honestly I don't like any of these ideas. =/ Why would the green ones be given wings? Do you mean for them to be more bug-like because they're green? I'd like them to be more centered around the earth and plant life in some way. I'm not sure I like the idea of a brown pikmin at all. Green makes more sense to me as it's a part of the color scheme they've already gone with. If there's two new types it should be orange and green.

Cool! My thoughts on brown pikmin, though, would be that they dig under then pop back up. Also, for green pikmin, they could whirl and whirl their leaf, bud or flower! And then, as for bulbmin, that would be hard to have to eventualy fight several bulbborbs tryiing to kill you every day. But I like the Idea of ??? 2 to love louie. As for storieline, you could make it so both ??? go on a mission together to get more treasure, then they all meet up!

I LOVE the bulbmin and I hate leaving them in the cave but the problem is that theyre resistant to everything so for some people it'll ruin the fun and you might forget about your pikmin ( but that would be so cute and awesome if you could keep them XP)

How about this for a Pikmin:
Pink Pikmin (Candypop, no Onion)
They have two distinct "features". Their stem is so long that it bends back and almost touches the ground. It as no muscles to move it, though, so it's completely useless. Instead of hands, their arms come to a sharp point that they attack and break things with. They have the strongest attack power of any Pikmin, about 2.5x the Reds' power. The downside is, since they have no hands, they can't carry anything.

i do think there should be a flying pikmin, but i think the brown pikmin can be improved. Instead of having a spike on them, their hands are circular cups they can use as shovels. Before they are crushed or killed by a bomb, they can dig and plant themselves. they could also pick up bomb rocks. i also think they should be orange instead of brown.

brand were separate from Pikmin 3. The game was not shown at E3 2009 or 2010, but Miyamoto confirmed in June 2010 that the game was indeed still in development.

no more captains! that would drive me INSANE...
and idk if having a bunch of new pikmins would make it any more enjoyable, i think extending the size of the world and initial objective would be GREAT tho.
also, make emperors strong again. as confident as it makes me feel beating up an emperor in 5 seconds without losing any pikmin (hint: use purples! :D)
lastly, maybe make a few more bosses and another hole of heroes. i like going thru that cave on occasion.

then louie says he remebered seeing that plant on the pikmin planet.with that olimar louie the president olimar's son and daughter head to the company.then the president sticks a check for 15,000 pokos to hospital to keep her alive.he also sticks a check of 5,000 pokos in to a space ship fixing company to give the ship 3 extra pods.the screen goes black and then comes back to show getting into the ship.then they blast off, heading to the pikmin planet to retreive the leaves and pay off the dept.

Olimar and the president return home with louie, but when they make it back olimar's son and daughter are waiting for them.when the three get out of the ship, the kids tell them that olimar's wife is sick.the 5 run over to olimar's house and find that she has a disease that, even though isn't contaigous, stop her from moving out of her bed.sadly it can oly be cured with ten leaves from a plant that is now extincit on hocotate.continued.....

Um, you know there are already green Pikmin, right? Or at least, it's implied in Pikmin 2 that there are. Bulbmin, remember? When you dismiss your Pikmin, each color of Pikmin glows its own color, and Bulbmin glow green. They also appear as green dots on the map. So I don't think there could be green Pikmin. Unless you said that green Pikmin could also have the ability to become a parasite and the abilities in the video are the ones they have before they choose a host.

I also thought of a bunch of Pikmin3 ideas.
Plot: 1 year after the events of pikmin 2, the pikmin planet has been secretly under surveilance by Hocotate Freight. One day a strange looking meteor crashes on the planet and a new employee is sent to investigate, however he doesn't come back. Hocotate Freight goes on expedition to find the employee and investigate the meteor. Several space ships set off to the planet all landing in different regions.

Pikmin that are immune to everything, they have their own onion, AND you get an extra 10 every 15 days by just killing something that's easier than a regular bulborb? Some predictions and reasons for my predictions:
Black Pikmin, Light Blue Pikmin, and Green Pikmin.
Black: Maybe what you said about brown Pikmin.
Blue: Maybe what you said about Green Pikmin.
Green: Probably has something to do with plants or grass. Digging, maybe?
Black, Blue, Green, and some more colors were seen on the Happy Ending of Pikmin 1.
