Whale Watching at Depoe Bay in Oregon on April 3, 2011

@gongyman (cont.) We touched the whales only because they came up to the boat and let us. They were very playful. It wasn't like we were hurting them or anything like that. That was the most amazing experience I have ever had with whales and my first! We loved it so much we just went back and went for a second time with Gary and it was wonderful! Obviously the zodiac doesn't scare the whales As you can clearly see.

@gongyman It was an amazing trip and a once in a lifetime experience. How rude and disrespectful of you to criticize Gary when he is an absolutely amazing tour guide. And to throw someone else's name out there like that, wow! We had an excellent trip. The whales were very playful and we never "chased" them. The zodiac is much more better and personal then a tour boat. And I wouldn't have it any other way! We learned alot as well!!!! .

Carrie Newell is much better and gives an educational trip and shows much more wildlife rather than just the whales.. And im pretty sure you arent supposed to touch the whales because it is illegal to touch them in US waters so you are lucky you didnt get a huge fine for that one!!! That zodiac usually frightens the whales as well. You arent supposed to chase after them like Gary does. That is also illegal.....other than all that it looked like a fun trip.
