Maybe they mix up feet and meters. Americans use standard measurement, Canadians/European etc metric.

Coast Redwood, Sequoia's yes are the tallest, largest conifers in the world.

I believe 130 meters may have been attainable in old forests, but today, there may be only a few over 100 metres. In good forests, they range easily over 250 feet, some over 300 feet.

Douglas Fir are next, they may hit 100 meters, range more about 70 m (200-250 ft).in good areas. Still impressive to see!

There are many afghan clever teachers in Afghanistan. But because of discrimination and "group thinking" it is not possible for those techers to enter the University door. The afghans will remain poor and will need hjelp from foreigners as long there exist discrimination and unjustice.

A friend went back to afghistan to help. He came back and lost around $100 grand US to his family and friend. He was lucky to come back alive! :-)
