They probably didn't scale the size of the characters yet, especially since it's an early version of the game, which is why Big Daddy looks small and Jack seems like he's a few inches taller from his HUD than the one from the final version.

they should of kept the effects and animations in the final game, they made very small changes but they are so noticable :/ it just looks better on the demos

I wish they kept the same graphics engine from this demo in the final build, even it was only slightly changed. This just looks better, for some reason.

It might be the saturation/contrast balance in the demo that gives you the different vibe.

This version looks alot harder than the final build. I love Bioshock! Almost as much as I do Half-Life. I have high hopes for Bioshock 2 even if it isn't being directed by Mr. Levine.

Bioshock is such an interesting game. While the story is interesting it becomes pretty basic after a while, but the possibility for almost limitless strategy makes it amazing!

It's so cool to see how different the hud is, as well as how they replaced speed boost with faster wrench attacks. They also replaced Plasmi- Quik with the Gene Bank

it's amazing how much bioshock has changed...also take note of the dev video''hunting the big daddy''........ the enrage plasmid was way cooler back then as opposed to the one we use in the game we play today.......cool vid

Another difference is that they removed the teleportation plasmid from the final game.

i really wanted the plasmid it would be awesome but it does sound buggy, my favorite plasmid is electro bolt idk why but i use it in like every battle i used that plasmid and a wrench to take down a big daddy
