without a doubt DO NOT use trex. it slides fine as long as you're doing a 50 50 but once you get into frontsides and backside boardslides it will dig in and catch your edge like you're sliding on wood.
ive been using it for like a week and ive done a bunch of boardslides and other stuff and it works really well as long as you use the opposite side(the one you dont put facing up on a deck) it works really well
that could've been the problem for us, cuz we use it a lot for snowskating but when we tried it for snowboarding my friend fronsided it and it dug right in. i'll have to check out the underside. where do you live that you already have snow?!
dude sick vid. I have pretty much the exact same set up in my yard. I just got done with building 2 8 foot boxes. YEA the HDPE works the best. IM posting an instructional video of all the steps. CHECK IT OUT!!
so i know i asked what camera you were using a long time ago and it was a DVC30. Are you still shooting on a DVC30? and if so are you also using a 35mm adapter? your shots are super artsy and have depth of field thats the only reason i ask.
heya. no i have since upgraded to the Canon XH A1. these two night session videos were shot with that. Search it on the canon website if you want. its a super sick camera. It has 1/3' ccds rather than the DVC30's 1/4. the DOF is slightly better.
yeah the A1 is a really nice camera. Its like a nonprogressive scan DVX if im not mistaken, and obviously HD. but it uses a vertical pixel shift instead of progressive scanning. how does it do in low light though? I have a DVX now but as soon as this season is over im looking to switch to either an A1, the new HD DVX alternative thing that panny has coming, or an HVX.
One other thing. How's the workflow? whats your computer setup to run High Def footage?
no man, the A1 is 100% 1080P 24 frames progressive. It actually has more pixels per sensor the the HVX. the triple CCD on the A1 has 1920x1080 pixels. The HVX only has 768x540. they do mega pixel shifting on that beast.
