As a Chinese, I would say Iranians are definitely doing a spectacular job in the modernization of their own country. But like other Islam countries, religious belief is hindering the people to be more open minded and creative. Only if the people are emancipated from the Islamic dogmas that the great Persians could unleash their creativity and restore their former glory. Islam is of Arabic origin anyway, and was forced onto the Persians by force, so why believe in a foreign god?
