Hey Tom, I just wanna say that the movie isn't trying to be serious... At least not all the time. The movies revolves around flat out scares, ridiculous situations & tongue-in-cheek dialogue. The franchise was meant to appeal to people in both a scary & comedic way. I don't wanna start anything here, I'm just saying that Scream is supposed to make you laugh and well... scream :P (And BTW it's suposed to be cliche)

THAT FIGHTER TRAILER WAS AMAZING! I actually met Mickey's trainer. I go to school in Lowell and he came in to talk about the film with us. He plays himself in the movie and he was reallllly cool. Down to earth guy. That trailer was fantastic.

@TomChatalbash, are you sure you've seen the Scream movies?? because if you have, you would know that the movies are spoofs of the horror genre. they are not supposed to be serious movies. The movies were meant as spoofs of the slasher genre. Maybe you should watch the films again or at least read about the original ones BEFORE you review the trailer for the first movie, because almost your whole review of the trailer was basically positive (except for not caring about any of the characters).

The thing is that Wes Craven made the Scream movies. WES CRAVEN! The king of slasher movies. He made it as a parody of the genre he himself made so popular. I must say I really enjoy that thing about them. And that's the reason why I HATE the Scary Movie franchise. It's a parody of a parody... Not very smart.

You should know that Scream 4 is not trying to be serious at all. Those films are totally self aware of what they're doing and it's meant to be funny because they reference a lot of classic horror films and poke fun at how the characters are aware of the "rules" and everything. Give it another shot with that outlook and you might enjoy it then. And P.S., I'm a fan of Nicolas Cage but Drive Angry looks stupid to me.

Scream isn't meant to be serious... The entire concept revolves around making fun of other slashers. They are way more comedic than anything, if you get references throughout it.
