Medicare requires private supplements because it only pays <50% of expenses, so most people will be bankrupted if all they have is Medicare.

If Medicare benefits are "expanded", premiums will be increased exponentially for those few with jobs to support those tens-millions without jobs living longer visiting hospitals + doctors + RX.

In order to accomodate these illogical numbers, Medicare would have 2b transmogrified into the kind of nightmare that would wake/sweat the FRANKENSTEIN MONSTER.

Absolute nonsense. And this comes speaking from personal experience. Both of my parents had serious health problems. They are now deceased. But during the time dealing with their health problems, I never received a bill for a deductible, co-payment, or uncovered service provided them. In fact both my parents had a so-called "rider" from Blue Cross, which actually took over their Medicare. I had to drop this so-called program, and put them back on Medicare to get them treatment they needed.

It may be nonsense, but not absolutely. Each state is different in what they permit service providers to do with "excess charges" not approved by CMS. Some prevent all such charges, others part, others none. If you are survivng in a state which permits excess charges, nonsense may be the only thing that may save you financially from this arbitrary arrangement.
