there are helicopters, but a small plane is much cheaper to buy and run and has a longer range so its an advantage for the smaller citys.

btw the name of the airport is centralia huron airpark on huron rd off richmond st and is 8.5 klm (5 miles) as the crow flies away from davesfarm and the main runway lines up on google earth exactly with davesfarm

sorry to disappoint anyone's illusions about big brother watching davesfarm,but if you look up google earth for davesfarm (34852 richmond st london ont) you will see that there is a small airport not far away and one of it's runways lines up with davesfarm,so what you are seeing is normal commuter planes lining up for landings and takeoffs.

but i suppose its good to maintain an illusion off being spyed on for the sheer humor of reaction of those not in the know

I doubt that's news or a police aircraft. More than likely, it's just curious fans. Rocking the wings is a gesture to say hello. News, or police, taking pictures would have slipped the aircraft on the downwind in a Cessna 172 - 182 for pictures and video in order to get the wing strut out of the picture. They probably wouldn't have rocked the wings either. News and police wouldn't be there to say hello. These are just fans in the air.

Yeah but on Daves video he showed how the truck didnt have a muffler and no door so he couldnt hear them on the walkie talkies. Once he saw rick waving his arms he stopped completely. You can see that in his video the truck stops way before you hear him hit.
