I know that "Passage to Marseille" it's a remake of this great "Casablanca" movie, but only if you se for first time "Passage" & afterward "Casablanca", you will understand why this remake its better that this overvaluaded original

desgraciadamente la WMG esta boicoteando toda exhibicion de material relacionada a esta pelicula. Lo cual se me hace muy injusto. La pelicula se puede adquir como DVD a un precio razonable. Pienso que un buen cinefilo deberia tenerla en su coleccion. Por favor no compre una version pirata.

tomferent: not everything that comes out these days is garbage, the same way that not everything that came out back then was good. You have to remember that back then Hollywood was turning out movies even more than today, with hundreds of movies disregarded as garbage, and only a very, very select few standing the test of time and being heralded as classics today. Also, I would challenge you to explain why a movie like Citizen Cane is better than say,or a more modern movie like Blood Diamond.

Dear Sakura0618 Perhaps, because the directors and producers of films back then actually believed in something. They believed in God, Country and Family. Back then you could tell the good guys from the bad guys. Also i'm sure these older films wouldn't differ too much content wise than more modern films if it were not for the censorship laws back then, they wouldn't be allowed to put out a movie where for instance a character getting away with murder, this was not becasue they wanted the culprit to receive their deserved punishment, but becasue the law made them do it this way. And i cant agree more with sakura0618. Theres some amazing old films, and just as many good new ones.
