This was performed in 2005 with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, in the final of the Michael Hill International Violin Competition - which he won. What you don't see at the end of this concerto is how the rest of the competitors, around a dozen or so, sitting in the stalls stood up to applaud, leading the audience in an enormous ovation.
I believe the violin of Paganini Cadenza is not the Greiner, he loaned a Stradivari during that period ( he told the audience in a masterclass, and I was there too), that violin should be the Stradivari.
I do thin that the violin in this clip looks more like the Greiner, you can see how his Greiner look like in a documentary film of NingFeng himself!
Why isnt he more famous yet. Honestly purest and best tone control of all virtuoso's..

Does anybody know what is the violin used in this concert? I wonder if it was a Greiner.
Cheers!

It doesn't really look like one... but if you look at his recording of the paganini cadenza, you'll see his Greiner.
This is a beautiful instrument too... very cantabile!
