The before picture (or should I say after? :S the one on the right)looks way better. I think that the people in magazines are too perfect, and it's making girls look bad in comparison. I like the pictures with flaws, like not-perfect skin, and stray hairs, etc.

I think this video is really good. So many girls compare themselves to the models in magazines, thinking why they can't be like that. the truth is, no one is actually like that. It's photoshopped in, making the already beautiful girl into a more beautiful, yet fake girl. Everyone is beautiful in their own way.

This video was really good...a really effective way of showing how images are photoshopped. I like the fact its in reverse. She is gorgeous both ways.

I agree, the original is better. I dont see the point...I generally find that most times all I need is high pass filter, soft light and some gaussian blur for easy retouching. For more extremes, try liquify and some plugin like portraiture. It is much faster than this and gives at least same quality as this video result.

I'm gonna have to agree that the original picture (pre photoshop) was actually better. I can tell a photoshopped picture in magazines quite easily because they lack realistic shadows and the depth is often a tad lacking. Taking out wrinkles, blemishes and acne is one thing but they usually remove too large an area resulting in a picture that is noticeably TOO perfect.
