Judging them as they might have been by this most ferocious, frantic, and utterly inspiring song, one can only guess the direction Richey would have taken them in after HB; surely this is their most underrated and yet most worthy song one can only wish was played more.
I'm not surprised this doesn't sound up to scratch, they were performing in a shop. I saw them do this at a festival and it rocked. Manics sound good at festivals, and best in venues.
saw them at exit fest serbia back in july and they were by far the best sounding band. by far! they had chunks of guys like the arctic monkeys in their stool the following morning...
Yeah, i agree, it's not the greatest representation of the song. It's got such a powerful sound on record, I reckon you'd need to expend a hell of a lot energy to do it justice live. If this is the first time you've heard it and you like it, get lipstick traces and really rock!

It could be better, yes, alot better.
But let's face it, they're 15 years older, and their rebellious sound disappeared with Richey.
It still sounds good if you think about that. James voice is still amazing huh?
