naah. uva wont be good next year. but just because you beat va tech in 04, i dont believe has anything to do with the results of the uva usc game in 08-09. completly different rosters. but uva being decent last year was the first in a long time. and half of their games were games that were won by 1 or 2 points and they could have easily been struggling for a winning record. also, they lost chris long. he shut down the running game on one side of the field. now it wont be that big of a game.

Its sort of a trap game with Ohio St. coming two weeks after that and the media building that game up to near mythical proportions already. Its at Virginia and with Mark Sanchez running the show behind a somewhat new O-line. It would still be an enormous shocker if SC didn't walk out of there with a relatively easy win.

va tech played the #2 team in the country for its ooc game. USC played a much worse ooc schedule then tech did. ya we played william & mary and ohio and and ecu(who won a bowl game). but we played lsu(national champs) too. yall played nebraska who didnt make a bowl game, idaho who didnt make a bowl game, and the all mighty notre dame irish, who had a team even rudy would have started on this year.
No. When you play Ohio, William and Mary, and ECU, that basically nullifies any OOC schedule. Props to the AD though for scheduling LSU and even doing it the SEC way(play at home and don't return the favor). You can't blame SC for the OOC schedule last year. Idaho was the one gimme. Notre Dame is a rival and wether they suck or not its a game they have to play. No one knew they were going to be THAT bad. Nebraska was actually supposed to be a good team this year after finishing 2nd in the big12.

The Irish's schedule is actually much easier than last year and I can't really see anyway it would be the toughest schedule in the country. For instance you could look at SC's or Georgia's or even Florida's schedule. The schedule's one of the reasons Notre Dame could win 7 or 8 games this season.

The ACC has 12 teams, the Pac-10 10. The ACC only plays 8 conference games, Pac-10 plays 9. The Pac-10 is heads and shoulders above that joke for a conference named the ACC. Duke? North Carolina?? Florida st. and Miami in the tank!??? VT has always and will always get no respect. Forget that they have dominated the ACC since they moved in. Forget 3 BCS bowls in 5 years. So we dont have a NC yet, it will happen. More and more people are starting to commit to VT. VT is one of I think 3 teams with 7 - 10 win seasons this past decade.

Until VT starts to pay their players like USC they will not be the powerhouse that the Trojans are. For those of you not educated enough on the matter just do a simple google search. (USC scandal). Their is PLENTY of info on the internet. I respect programs like Tech that at least attempt to keep it clean.

our engineering school will jack up USC so easily it will leave you crying. our engineering school wins NATIONAL engineering competitions such as the concrete canoe, underwater autonomous vehicle, land autonomous vehicle, sustainable building, and we have three wind tunnels gifted to us by NASA cuz we just are that good. UVA has great offense with peter lalich at QB they guy is very calm and collected and has a great arm.for the RB situation Cedric Peerman led the ACC in rushing yards and Mikell Simpson was the man durring the late season,not to mention keith pain can muscle his way through the line also.and for the first time in a long time UVA has such good WR that the starters from last year might not start this year.the only thing that will keep UVA on the down side is D they have some trouble with D,GO HOOS

naah. uva wont be good next year. but just because you beat va tech in 04, i dont believe has anything to do with the results of the uva usc game in 08-09. completly different rosters. but uva being decent last year was the first in a long time. and half of their games were games that were won by 1 or 2 points and they could have easily been struggling for a winning record. also, they lost chris long. he shut down the running game on one side of the field. now it wont be that big of a game.

Its sort of a trap game with Ohio St. coming two weeks after that and the media building that game up to near mythical proportions already. Its at Virginia and with Mark Sanchez running the show behind a somewhat new O-line. It would still be an enormous shocker if SC didn't walk out of there with a relatively easy win.

va tech played the #2 team in the country for its ooc game. USC played a much worse ooc schedule then tech did. ya we played william & mary and ohio and and ecu(who won a bowl game). but we played lsu(national champs) too. yall played nebraska who didnt make a bowl game, idaho who didnt make a bowl game, and the all mighty notre dame irish, who had a team even rudy would have started on this year.

No. When you play Ohio, William and Mary, and ECU, that basically nullifies any OOC schedule. Props to the AD though for scheduling LSU and even doing it the SEC way(play at home and don't return the favor). You can't blame SC for the OOC schedule last year. Idaho was the one gimme. Notre Dame is a rival and wether they suck or not its a game they have to play. No one knew they were going to be THAT bad. Nebraska was actually supposed to be a good team this year after finishing 2nd in the big12.

The ACC is definetly not that good of a conference but either is the pac 10.Sure you got 3 decent teams in Cal,Oregon,and USC.

Go Irish I give them 2 more years a they'll be back on track. And by the way even though they got beat up this year really no one has as tough of a schedual as they do.

The Irish's schedule is actually much easier than last year and I can't really see anyway it would be the toughest schedule in the country. For instance you could look at SC's or Georgia's or even Florida's schedule. The schedule's one of the reasons Notre Dame could win 7 or 8 games this season.

It was pass interference because it was plainly obvious. The commentators new it as soon as the flag was thrown. It's a very bad camera angle that's made available during the replay. What you can't see is his hand pushing off his back. USC 24 VT 13. Only people that care are hokie fans.

The Pac-10 is better than the ACC. Its as simple as that and if you even argue that you clearly have no knowledge of College football. For one, the stats you gave are skewed and misleading. The ACC has 12 teams, the Pac-10 10. The ACC only plays 8 conference games, Pac-10 plays 9. If you don't think thats a big deal look how all the coaches cried when it was proposed for your conference.

usc's "faithful" is nothing compared to vt. lane stadium holds only 66k people when the coliseum holds 92k. and i can tell you that lane stadium is so much louder. i know this because i have been to both stadiums on gameday. at usc ive seen the student section SIT DOWN during a game. thats just unheard of in blacksburg. have you ever seen the hokie's entrance against miami in 2005? its just amazing. nobody sits. everyone cheers. just wait till september 1st for ecu.

are you serious?? weve won the acc 2 out of 4 years weve been in it. the only reason usc gets in big games, is because their conferance is awful. congrats on beating stanford every year....wait...yall didnt.... Va tech is a great team in the past decade. the last 4 years weve won at least 10 games. And we would have won that game if not for the pass interferance call. that would have been a big win, and would have put us in the NC game.

HA! Weak conference? VT PLAYS IN THE ACC!! If it isn't the weakest conference in the country, it's the second worst. This was basically a home game for VT as well. The pass interference call was a good call because the receiver pushed off. The definition of offensive pass interference.

There was no way it was pass interference. he just put a good move on him and he fell for it so it appeared he pushed off but he def didnt. and yes, the pac 10 does suck. you have one good team in it. and its usc.... ucla sucks, cal overrated, oregon is decent in years, oregon state is bad, stanford sucks but still mangaed to beat yall. asu had one decent year. AU is also pretty bad. so sure you can say the acc is the 2nd worst conf. but the pac 10 is the worst then

The Pac-10 is heads and shoulders above that joke for a conference named the ACC. Duke? North Carolina?? Florida st. and Miami in the tank!??? You have to stop eating all those mushrooms you find on the ground. The Pac-10 had 4 separate teams ranked in the top 5 last year and 3 that made it as high as #2. There is no way the ACC is better than any league besides maybe the Big East. Everyone knows it, just accept it.

If Lane Stadium had 92k seats like Fedex Field in DC/Maryland we would no doubt be the loudest stadium in the country..even with 67k we are up there with the bigger stadiums

which games were you guys watching? USC simply had waaaay too much speed for the jokies. it eventually wore them down. i will however give them credit for revealing to the eastern part of the country who the real president was at the time.
the final score was never in doubt. but the quarterback would be the first to tell you it wasnt the referees. but that defense which was swarming at him all day long.

USC had all the talent, was losing at half time, and won and a debatable pass interference call. Reggie Bush was too much for Tech, but Tech dominated USC's offensive line from the first snap.
