GREAT RIDE, but it broke down when we were queing in the defence against the dark arts room at first the hollagrams were cool then it just got repetative and i needed the loo

The forbidden journey ride is awesome!

SUGGESTION: stay at 1 of park's hotel so you can use your hotel key as FAST PASS (well worth it!!! don't have to wait in long line/queue). Also the hotel might let you go 2 HOURS earlier into park than other people. I was able to. It's awesome b/c you can go on all the busy rides before anybody is there. I went on the dueling dragons twice in a row with NO LINE, plus other rides. 10 AM starts getting really busy. PS - butterbeer tastes awesome.

@jplcua18 I've been on it six times. It never malfunctioned. However, I know it's frequent. And I won't get angry if I do get stuck on the ride. It's to be expected of a complex piece of technology like that to have some problems from time to time.

@ryantyler2230 You get to walk through the castle as part of the line.Even if you don't want to go on the ride, it's worth walking through the queue because I find the queue just as good as the ride haha. It's amazing. The portraits actually look like oil paintings and not screens. It's an extremely interactive queue.

@kellbell408 yea. But its way more badass. There are Dragons, Dementors, and Spiders. i strongly recommend this ride

@kellbell408 No, you actually move along a track and it's not just screens. There's a life sized Whomping Willow, dementors, spiders and fire off the dragon which isn't on screens. It's so much better. I've been on Soarin' in Epcot and it's inferior compared to this ride. This ride is like nothing I've ever been on before. It's truly spectacular! :D

The projection part when you're flying around the lake and over the castle and over the quidditch pitch looks kind of fake. Does it feel more realistic when you're actually riding it? I hope it feels real

i like that other theme parks are catching up to Disneyland standards of what its like to put you in a story.......still i cant deny disney will always stand above and beyond. have you guys seen what floridas haunted mansion is doing? its awsome. Granted i am harry potter fan. Disney will always stand near and dear to me. i do wish i had visited olivanders lol

I went for Disney in June and i had a great lucky because in 11th june (friday) I went for Islands of Adventure and the attraction wasn't released yet. But they opened this day for tests and I went and it's awesome, just going to feel the sensation :D

Omg, I went on today. I wasn't expecting the Dementors to pop out RIGHT in your face I thought it would on the Screen O_O ..It scared me so much somehow lol.

I also like the Whomping Willow thing when your laying on ur backs and the dragon part :) Its fun.

Its called a soft opening. Like, they let people try out the park early before the park officially opens.

@kaakoo It's onride footage. They are combining projection scenes with 3d environments (kind of like spiderman on sterioids) and you get sucked into a quidditch match during that scene.
