  • And 5760x1080 doesn't give you THAT much more visual room if you think about it. The screens on the side are always skewed and stretched to give you that peripheral vision feel, it isn't literally 3 screens worth of visibility.

  • How did you get this to work? SC2 won't work on my 3-monitor 5760x1080 setup for the life of me

  • @codyt9x I believe there is a program that enables it.

  • @codyt9x What's the program? I also tried the width=x height=x shit too, no go.

  • LOLOLOL

    "Eyefinity is cheating guys"

Yeah man, cause having a higher resolution is cheating and that's why Blizzard gives you the option of using it.

  • eh i wouldnt recomend this for sc2 would u? cuz i think sc2 is kinda about speed and apm and having larger space just takes more time for u to move ur mouse

  • I feel like that would actually make your response time slower. Especially with the HUD so far spread out. You would have to have high sensitivity mouse and be moving your eyes constantly checking every screen. Too much work for me. Koreans would love it though.

  • @Keyeszx48

i think if your right but a lot of the issues are just with mousing, the hotkeys would still be the same, and most pro level players use them to warp around 90 pct of the time, and usually the action would be near center monitor, definetly would want a faster mouse speed though and might kill some of the percision.

  • How is this an advantage in RTS games? Fog of war still exists, thus everything would still be dependent on how and quickly you can react to the situation. In the end, it would just result in a happier customer for those who have eyefinity.

  • @101Checks I really hate when people say that Eyefinity is cheating. It seems like the natural evolution of games.

  • @FFFan3445

If it is cheating then so is any advancement in hardware that may offer faster or smoother gameplay. Better mice keyboards.. etc. The idea that someone is petty enuff to call foul over something they simply don't wan't to buy just yet when i'd just be happy To PLAY SURROUND IN THE SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN! Unless the same rez nazi's consider that not fair to the AI?

  • @theUglyManowar I totally agree with you here. I'd kill for an Eyefinity setup but I'm poor; sure, people with Eyefinity setups do have advantages over players without but they effing earned it with their money. Eyefinity's not cheap and being surrounded by video input of the game you're playing is not something to fear but something to embrace with open arms. I seriously can't wait for the Radeon HD 7000 series of cards to release, I'm thinking one 7850 should power three 1080p monitors easily.

  • @FFFan3445 I'm with you.

I'd say in 5 years or so, A LOT more people will be using surround.

oLED monitors will most likely be built in super wide also since oLED can bend really good.

In 20 years, gaming monitors might MEANT TO BE super wide. (48:10 or something)

Nowadays it's just a little expensive and some people think the bezels kill the fun. In future, the people will want to view more than the little box. because the eye can see so much more. Why limit it if it doesn't have to

  • I wish people included info on their monitors in these multi-display videos.

  • i cant get it working on 3 screens, did you use any hacks or something?

  • Plz help! What setting did you change to get the game to play over 3 screens? When I load up the game I get 3 seperate games in each monitor. Plz help

  • @xplicitkillr you have to configure the order of the screen in the properties. Just google it or look on youtube. theres tons of videos about it =

  • holy fuckin hell. Wait this is nuts...couldn't this potentially be a huge advantage for those who have eyefinity? hmm...

  • @johnjiaojhu how u gona scroll to the right and left when u need it the most? and u gona turn ur head everytime to check the minimap?

  • @limpei1 with eyefinity its an extension of the screen not a stretch so he is actually seeing more than a single monitor would making it where you are basically seeing what you would normally have to scroll to see. Minimap would be annoying to have to gland at though

  • @johnjiaojhu which is why its not allowed

  • wow, that is amazing... I wish I had 3 monitors haha, my APM would be out of control without mouse scrolling throughout the map!

  • HOLY SHIET

  • holy fk!

  • I wouldn't like this.. if the center bar with all the unit commands was together... then yes definite win.

  • @NoDoubtFilms once you get with hotkeys you will find no use in actually clicking the buttons.

btw set it the hotkeys to grid and its easy to click them even if you didnt memorize them :)

  • I have 5970 but Starcraft 2 does not allow this to work. How did you manage to do it? Please let me know. i want this bad.

  • Does the system run Tetris?

  • @leonsebastian3 Pssh, maybe if he overclocked it -.-

  • @NoDoubtFilms Hello fucking hacker you suck Bitch

  • fucking nice

  • wow that's worst than maphack

  • im not a fan of multiple monitors.. but this looks like a wet dream

  • this is one of the things I am looking forward to in eyefinity :P rts games with big monitors. i dont know why people are saying its not possible with this game because it totally is.

  • Damn, that rig is probably around $8000.

  • @n3rdbear No, no it's not.

  • Comment removed

  • Some games are meant to be played in a single monitor no way you can 100% perform with 3 monitors

  • Okay how the hell do you do this? I have ATI 5870 video card with triple monitors and I have been able to get full triple monitors for games like crysis and others. But when I try to put it at 1080pi in the game options it still doesnt do it! Do you have to do it in the video card ATI software or what? Or is the card I have worthless to do this? There has to be a way, crysis is higher graphics than starcraft so it should work!

  • @shotojojo1986

I believe there's a 3rd party patch that add's support for Eyefinity, if you can't find it try asking over at HardwareHeaven forums

  • @shotojojo1986 Starcraft is specialy made to NOT allow this...

  • @mcbrite this works, some people do it with 6 monitors, but the 3 set up right here for sc2 is probly the best u can do gives u a REAL birds eye view the 6 just makes it hard to see 2 many frames

  • "HardwareHeaven test the XFX Radeon 5970 4GB Black Edition Limited with StarCraft 2 over 3 screens 5760x1080 resolution." ... you poor kids should learn to read

  • Does this extra space work on a single TV or large monitor?

  • @toKs1c

You probably won't find a screen with such a high resolution. Any TV would likely be 1080p which means it's native resolution is 1920x1080 whether it's32" or 50". We use 3x 1920x1080 screens linked in Eyefinity mode to create a Single Large Surface. Most commonly next up would be 2560x1440, 3 of these in Eyefinity would give you 7680x1440 but even this card would probably start to struggle then. You won't find a resolution like that on a single screen at consumer level.

  • The UI gets spilt because the game doesn't natively support Eyefinity and so a 3rd party patch is applied.

The point of it? Well so rich kids can play campaign worthlessly of course!

  • what the hell would be the point of this? so casual rich kids can play campaign even more worthlessly?

  • the UI gets split :/
