I really like this song...it's funny because I generally tend to be more into complexity, most of my compositions have lots of suspended, 7th, augmented or diminished chords. This song however it VERY simple, it's about 4 or 5 chords and easy as hell to play but the feeling behind it is great.

First time I heard them, was when they opened for Tori Amos in "98". The live version of this song was amazing and was the only reason for me to buy the album. It was kind of a let down when I played the recorded version. When they were playing this live, he was playing an acoustic guitar till 2:09. Then he pickup a gibson les paul, paused which emphasized the next verse " I'll be waiting" and played the rest of the song in electric. If anyone knows where to find a live version, drop me a line!

Ironic, because it was hearing this song at the end of the first episode of Six Feet Under that solidified the fact that I loved the show. Having been a Devlins fan for a couple of years at that point, I was pretty impressed at the music selection-- and they continued to impress me in the seasons to come. Like the season 4 promo w/ Nina Simone's "Feeling Good". Anyway, the Devlins are amazing guys in an amazing band. Check out all their albums! :)
