But my curiosity has no boundaries, and I'd be very grateful if you'd indulge me in the following.
"The girl of my dreams" whom we see at 0:14 caught my eye in an undiscribable way. She is absolutely lovely.
Therefore, I'm curious as to whether she's related to you, and if so, would it be possible to tell me more about her ? I'm somewhat interested in knowing what she became, in an innocent way, of course.
@Papamarmottin No, I'm sorry. The images in this video are all scanned from photos from the 1920's and 1930's. I don't know who any of them are except for Cliff Edwards and a few Hollywood starlets. The girl at 0.14 is unknown to me.
@BeareTube The girl is actually in the picture at the end as well and my great grandmother is in that picture with her, i know this because my grandmother has one of the original copies. On the back it says her name is Annette, she went by Annie, married her boyfriend right out of high school. She is 17 in the picture and she died in 81. That's all i she knows
What a cool compilation. I think that era was really special. Maybe because pop culture has labeled all the other decades of the 20th century after that with so many stereotypes.
Wow! really well composed upload, thanks

In their own way those swimming costumes were every bit as indecent as today's scanty outfits,
whether they were meant to be or not ...

Just referring to Cliff Edwards as the voice of Jiminy Cricket sells him way short. He had dozens of hit records and also a fine career as an actor.

Gorgeous girls. Also interesting that they were the liberated rebels/progressive badasses of their day. And yet now we are stuck with Snooki et al...

Wonderful sound quality! It's hard to believe it was recorded in 1933.

@victorbrunswick I'm sorry, I got it wrong when I put this video together a while ago. The song was recorded in 1943, not 1933.

@BeareTube Must correct you. This was from his early ukelele days and recorded early 30s.
