  • Hi ryiah:

Wow its a small world you must have went to my blog polytelismedia wordpress

What a fantastic place for a honeymoon! You must have had a fantastic time. Australia is such a gorgeous place. You gotta go outback though to see wild tiels but its sure worth it!

  • Cockatiels are not only intelligent they are real survivors! If you like take a look at my video channel and see wild ones raising their chicks in the outback. Thanks!

  • @polytelismedia Hi! I remember reading your blog about your trip around Australia. It was incredible - I'd love to do that one day! We were in Australia for our Honeymoon and we just didn't want to leave, the birds over there are amazing!

  • @polytelismedia Thanks for the link!! I'd love to see them in their own habitat

  • awww its so cute he's really trying

  • aww bless hes really trying :)

  • You whistle beautifully. The bird sounds like a broken robot.

  • Our Tiel, Popcorn. loves to listen to your bird!

  • Our Tiel, Popcorn. loves to listen to your bird!

  • No offence but the quality is just a little bad, I can't see his beak moving so it can be hard to believe that he is singing that

  • @razerfazer Yeah it is bad quality - It was taken a few years back on an old mobile phone. If you want, have a look at my page there's some more recent ones that are better quality

  • @razerfazer If you know anything about cockatiels or have them, then you know that a cockatiel is VERY capable of learning to whistle that.

  • @razerfazer cockatiel's beaks dont move when they whistle

  • my cockatielz crazy.........|:\

  • Wait till you get to the part where you have to snap your fingers.

  • Nawh!! So cute :)

  • ~ memories ~

  • some guy was once arrested for humming the addams family theme too much lol true story

  • Awe this is so cute <3. He's trying so hard on the tune. Again, so cute.

  • AMAZING

  • Sounds like he's singing it backwards. Be careful, it might be satanic!

You might like the bird vids on my channel, too.

  • Haha I love cockatiels. Mine sings the Andy Griffith song, he never quite gets it right but still cute as hell!

  • That's awesome!

  • cute!!^^

  • My bird sings that too! I'll post a video response!

  • Aww, it was like a piano lesson. Every time you fuck up, you repeat it over and over.

  • how much do these birds normally cost?

  • He tried his best~ :D

  • part of that is not the bird trust me i know

  • @mrzhappylolipop Have a look at my other videos. Yes I do whistle a lot alongside him - but you can easily determine my whistling from his. Trust me, I know ;)

  • @ryiah cool

  • @ryiah wholy crud i never commented that i think someone got on my thing i never said that wat the heck this is random

  • @ryiah it's easy to tell, you're whistling quieter, but i'm guessing (wildly, never owned a bird) That it's simply to help him/her?

  • @brandonhud60 Hi, yes he usually whistles after I start whistling. So to keep him going, I whistle inbetween his whistling :) If that makes sense!!??!

  • @mrzhappylolipop man, she´s obviously whistling it and he follows after! can you not hear the difference?

  • We taught our cockatiel to whistle the Charger theme, he was a great bird.

  • @toniswedberg I'm trying to teach that too, Piper can do a little bit of it :)

  • Most of the time the person did it i think : \

  • Awww..Looks just like my 'Buddy....' he used to whistle the dive bomb Anthem....da ta de da........and would literally..dive bomb ppl he didn't like!!! lol

  • So cute. :)

  • I love how he's trying so hard. It's adorable.

  • wtfwtfwtfwtf we're trying to teach him the same

  • Wow :)

  • This is GREAT!

  • thanks tahts soooo cute! i been replaying this for male he can do the sexy whistle so i figured hmmmmm keep repeating this right on piper!!

  • that's cute!, he trys to correct himself whenever he gets it wrong :D

  • That's amazing! He can tell when he's off tune! LOL. What a cute bird =o)

  • this is so cute

  • Sweet!

  • Aww he is so adorable! :)

  • awe bless, my budgie could do part of this like your cockatiel. But hasn't master it yet, just alot of patience and time!

But i bet your cockatiel is smart enough to master it if you keep bugging it to (:

  • haha, so smart! ♥

  • What a smart birdy! Soooo cute!

  • Aww, he's trying so hard. He keeps stoping like "wait, wrong note!"

  • @LadyEsori Yeah, it's extra cute. I love how he stops, looks at his owner for clarification, hears his owner whistle it again, then tries again. Awww, cute birdy singing practice!

  • Many people who try to teach their bird a song don't have a good ear. The bird starts off in one key, then changes midstream because the owner did! You have a great ear and the bird followed the rhythm and probably can do it perfectly by now. Great video, what a sweetie!

  • Thank You - he still can't do the whole song, but I don't mind - he does brilliantly on the part he does whistle! I have uploaded some updated videos to see if you can hear an improvement.

  • 0:17 THERE CREEPY AND THERE SPOOKY

  • how did you teach him this ?? i would like to know soo i can teach it to mine aswell!!

  • Hi, just patience and persistance. Whistle to him/her several times a day - slowly and clearly. I'm sure he or she will learn it :)

  • The Adams Family or the Birds Family great bird.

  • not mastering is fine

at least he's a smart bird

my birds aren't as smart =(

I have budgies and finches (not hand trained)

  • you should submit this vid to RayWilliamsJohnson I'm pretty sure he'll put it on his youtube channel

  • I loved it. Makes me miss my cockatiels.

  • @Lionel4482 did your cockatiels Die?

Or Where They Givin Away? Or Did THey Run Away?

Did You Not Be Able To Keep Them?

    No Offence

  • both of them flew away one month apart. Since they were tame we didn't keep them in their cages for months we come in and out of the house and they never tried to escape. We took them outside one day and one decided to take off, I was holding the other so he couldn't get away. next month someone held the door open too long and the other one flew away.

  • he's learning :) cute.

  • you go bird :D he gots it down basically, hes a beast!

  • that looks like my bird

  • My bird's name is Piper as well. He can whistle some of the happy birthday song

  • I miss my cockatiel. He would imitate anything. It got annoying sometimes when he did the phone ringing. Now my Hyacinth Macaw says "Here kitty kitty" The cats afraid of him after the parrot bit a chunk out of his tail lol. No worries the cat healed up fine he jus afraid of parrots now.

  • we have a cockatiel and he trys hard to copy, he picked up the smoke alarm, phone ringing, emergency sirens (police ect..), he says hello cocoa (cocoa is his name), says peek a boo, sings a few songs and some times he has a go at him self if he cant get it right

  • I love how the bird makes an effort to imitate you!!

    awesome birdie!

  • Very smart bird :)

  • can i say "nice tutorial"? :D

  • I love that he's trying. What a great bird.

  • adorable how hes trying so hard

  • It would be cute if he could pretend to click his fingers like they do in the song. Very talented!

  • The bird just can't handle it. He needs bigger lungs! lol

  • It's so cute how hard he's trying.

  • Sweet :D

  • lol my birds the same, just ona a different song..

  • Oh, this is so cute :)

I hope he learns it all soon!

  • ....dude, I can't even do that, and I'm very musical, just retarded and can't whistle:P.

  • lol my birds first noise was the sound of my mouses wheel lol xD

  • mine can wistle the mexican anthem

  • It's a little pitchy, dawg.

  • omfg im so jealous wish i knew how to whistle

  • I cant whistle blowing out. Try sucking air in when you whistle instead.

  • i used to have a cockatiel 2 of them but 1 ran away but the male stayed and ever scince it has been trying to sing her back and ive been crying ever scince he started

    (:-(

  • thats sad man

  • cute Rating-5 my rating-1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 lol

  • SO CUTE - HE'S ALMOST THERE : )

  • Mine always wanted to eat me.

  • Hes so close. Oh man!!!

  • Its so cute when he tries to figure it out.

  • i have to repeat what jimemarsden wrote...it's AMAZING how they can stop, listen and correct themselves...they're such little perfectionists!! lol

  • i know^^ I couldn't help but whistle along to help him even though it was a video^^

  • i cant whistle :(

but the bird is so cute!

  • Can he whistle the Andy Griffith Theme?

  • Their intellect is amazing. He actually stops, pays attention to the correct whistle, and tries it himself, rinse and repeat. This is why I love birds.

  • Mine does the wolf whistle, the Andy Griffith theme song, Hi Ho Hi Ho It's Off to Work We Go, the Bridge on the River Kwai opening, that fanfare before people yell CHARGE at sporting events, and the beginning of the Adams Family. I think he is learning new stuff by hearing it on YouTube. *L*

  • I just have to tell you that I am getting a cockatiel in a few weeks and I've already decided to name him or her Piper! :)

  • He's pretty good. I use to have a cockateil who use to whistle the theme song of The Andy Grifith Show

  • That's cute ^^ he was trying XD My Tweety would always do that, I miss his whistles around the house, it's a lot quieter without him....

  • ive seen one vidoe where the bird in the mirror and when it gets to the clicking bit he taps the mirron!

  • cool

  • adorable!

  • so cute :D

  • so cute! check out my fun vids of true Aussie cockatiels opening there cage doors and "escaping" and disco dancing etc. click on my name.

  • i don't own anything ... i just guessed coz my roommate has one and its the same exact coloring .. and its a she .

  • Male cockatiels are colored like that, females are more dull in their coloration, it's the original wild coloring of the male cockatiel, your Roommate really needs a book on cockatiels, maybe even an Australian field guide for parrots. Like ryiah said, I seriously hope you don't own one, UNTIL you learn more, srsly.

  • Comment removed

  • you are right, only the GREY MALES are that color. Cockatiels can be gay, like many other animals.

  • You obviously don't know anything about cockatiels - I really hope you don't own one!

  • ikr

  • yeah, lol im the only one in my entire family who sucks in rather than out

  • ya me to! lol

  • how cute ^^

you sound jsut like your tiel, just like i do XD

  • lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome cockatiel!

  • I miss mine soooooo much i had her for 14 years she could sing the andy of mayberrie song

  • my bird looks just like that

  • lol aww my cockatiel also has 2 have help remembering the song their so cute when they get stuck on a part

  • this birds can learn a lot, but also need from their owners a lot of time and care to teach them.

  • I soooo wish my bird could do that. were still training here to "step-up" onto my finger.

  • pahaha

  • cuuute :) these birds are so cute. they know when it sounds wrong and you can see them get a little frustrated with themselves ^^;

  • all my bird can say is hello pretty bird & i have the exact same bird as you
