I like how most of this review has totally different view points. No one is trying to agree for the sake of agreeing. I would suggest preparing a little more data before commenting though. "I think we would all agree, that after two turns..blah blah" ...not only a repeat of what that guy said about the GSXR, but also the only thing he had to say about the Honda. I'd like more information than that. Oh, and Ducati, Triumph, or GTFO.
But even tho the 848 is not an actual 600 its a v-twin so even tho it says 848 its truely just as comparable as a 600 thats why they run the 848 in the 600 class in AMA..
Love all these bikes! I was looking at the '11 GSX-R 600 but got a new '10 for a steal ($3.5K cheaper than '11). Between these four the competition is really close and it comes down to the rider NOT the bike. Just get whatever YOU like most. Have a fast and safe 2012 season!
@hoodmonmike Very true, I have ridden each of these bikes within the past generation, and there are no "performance" differences that can't be corrected with a few mods specific to each bike after purchase. Buy the bike that fits you best due to its individual character and cockpit space.
why is he wearing a joe rocket race suit? thats kind of a lower quality suit. If I was a pro test rider I'd be wearing RS Taichi, Alpinestars, or Dainese
@buckwheat40 The Joe Rocket Speedmaster line of race suits are very high spec and would surprise you - titanium shoulders and elbows, triple stitched and taped seams and a sometimes thicker mil. thickness of leather. and most suits should be picked by how they fit you ( they all fit different ) instead of by name
@schecterguitarsfan Hard one, both look good, see which one is more comfortable. If you are larger, chances are you will find Kawasaki more comfy, vice versa. Looks is also a factor, i mean every ss rider should have pride in their bike :D
Man... Suzuki sucks lol. I think the idea with that brand of bike is to target people that are new to riding cause brand of bike don't have all that killer power like the other bikes have. Its so forgiving which is easy to win on that bike cause when the others mess up on shifting or braking and things like that, the gixxer can come up easy from that. When you put a highly skilled rider on any of the bike vs a skilled rider on the gixxer, gixxer wont win. Perfect first timer bike i think
@89powerup true but when u add a gsxr 750 for 400$ more, it takes more skill to use and who cares if its not fair against a 600. I would without a doubt buy a 750 over any 600.
@Maxmulham yes, besides they are better looking too.. nothing beats a cbr600rr in the streets if anything its the gsxr600 or the kawi but NOT yamaha lol
I really want the GSXR, but its price range is WAY bigger than Honda & Yamaha's. Same as the ZX6R. That's why I will buy the R6. Because it's more beautiful and got enough power.
my lil bro said that to, and hes 19 now bike less, I told him thrs nothin like ridin, but it also keep in mind dawg u may die everytime u go for a ride... SO the point is are u ready for that? if u are Im sure u will love riding i hate driving a car...
@pitbull247luv yeah, ill prolly get a smaller bike, makes me feel like im pushing it without feeling like im about to kill myself. probably a ninja 250, do some mods to it. shoot i have a rebel 250, but i just hate cruiser bikes, but its better than nothing.
@pitbull247luv i drive my golf just in the winter season... spring, summer, autumn the car keeps in garage and i just drive my bike.... :) wish u all a nice and accident free 2012 greetings from germany
@rraymund1 nah, i should be good. full scholarship to college already. how do you think i will be able to afford the bike and everything that comes with?
@paladain55 Most parents don't want their kids getting bikes cause they know how immature they are (kids in general). Street bikes REQUIRE self control, without it you'll end up in jail or the morgue. Be safe, and make sure you buy gear at the same time as the bike!
@paladain55 What a nice comment. May be you should show a little more respect for those parents that whiped your ass when you where a child and that fed you until today. And even if you did not noticed, what they forbid you to do is to protect you because they do love you. If you want to ride that bike, do it for the love of it and not to struggle against your family. Anyway, ride safe !

@jtree007 Just info, if you want the review that includes Ducati 848 EVO, go to the Motorcycleusa site. Their latest Supersport Comparison Review involves that bike along with Triumph Daytona 675 and Suzuki GSXR 750.
By the way, I personally loves Ducati, but the bike is just too much expensive for me to buy. You're so lucky that can own one, I hope I can get one too, someday :)
FOrmer 2010 600rr and 2009 R6 owner here. THese two cannot be more diffrent. R6 is soooooo much racy feeling, the 600rr is far better for street riding. R6 almost falls into turns, its really really good handling. Honda is far more balanced and just feels so natural. Best bike I ever rode.
Great video and very informative. I bought a brand new 11 r6 because just look at it; It is a beautifull looking bike and definitely better looking than others.
@GOBbluthagain Possibly, but at least mention it with the review and why not the GSXR 750 as well. If the video it going to be fair and informative, mention the competition and why it was not reviewed. @jtree007 Who are you kidding? 848? 750? Why don't you throw the triumph in there and call it a day. I believe the part where this is a SIX-HUNDRED shootout went right over your head.
@DISONtheBISON Where does it say 600 shootout? In the description it says middleweight. The 848 is a middleweight sport bike. Yes, it has a larger volume engine then the 600's in the review, but it makes similar power and has similar weight to them. The Daytona 675? Yea why not. If I am out shopping, I am going to look for all the similar bikes. Knowing how competing bikes compare to the ones reviewed group would be very useful. Engine size is not the only thing that establishes the segment
@jtree007 READ - each bike is a 600. Article mentions that too. You're talking about nearly a 40hp gain over some of these bikes. The aforementioned three would be better off competing against one another, rather than against a 600.
