I've never seen a more annoyed dancer. And btw. this is no bellydance, it's rather a bad disco try. I'm a huge fan of oriental dances and this has nothing to do with that. There must be hundred times better dancers in Turkey and the whole world than this flat lady. Why doesn't she at least wear a suitable dress for bellydancing? This just shows how terribly flat she is.

Firstly, belly dancing is mainly displaying a dancer's control over her muscles through hip swinging, full body trembling, matching the rhythm of music etc. as shown.

Secondly, this woman was Turkey's no.1 from 1998-2003 and still performs weekly today. Dont judge from one clip.

Thirdly, a true belly dancer who practices frequently will not have fat on them.

Yes, her dress could have been better.

Please research about these things before criticizing.

Sure, Turkey currently has a few dancers who are better, so does the rest of the world. But please enlighten me, how is she bad? Where exactly are the flaws in her dancing?? What exactly do you find so deplorable?

First of all, she looks annoyed in almost every clip. And moreover, I think she has almost no control over her muscles (shimmi for 10 seconds really isn´t difficult, even beginners can do it) and she can´t do many moves and steps. Her dancing is rather like a bad disco attempt. She can´t even properly move her hips. When I compare her to stars like Jillina, Sadie, Bozenka and others I can´t understand how somebody can actually this Asena´s performance is bellydancing.
