Looking back over my shoulder i feel where LiL Joe seemed to have an edge on Mr. Isidro Lopez and so many other great artist is Joe has always been a great business man with a lot of talent. But Joe has always said " Isidro Lopez is my idol " and yes i too am glad i met both of them.
Joe and his bro are from Temple Texas..they started the Latinaires there..he and Isidro Lopez were the James Brown's of what is now chicano/tejano big band music..they incorporated new sounds with brass and electronic organs/guitars etc..both were ahead of their times in tejano music industry.I'm glad I got to meet both of these great artist..and play along side of them...

Little Joe se adelantó a su época, en 1971 sacó un disco que es un clásico, Las nubes, La traicionera, El Disco, Que culpa tengo, Viajera etc.
Los arreglos fueron excelentes, ni siquiera La banda Chicago se escuchaba así.
