Do they have trails where you can hike in the jungle and mountains of Laos? How about the tour guide?

yes, plenty. i went on a two day trek through jungle and mountains to a tribal village, where we spent the night.

i'd recommend grabbing the lonely planet to laos, and if you go, spend some time in the north of the country, where the mountains are.

also, the south, along the mekong, is very relaxed.
