Why do they immediately have to compete they as a group have little they need to prove. To me it struck me from the start that this is almost a showcase dance than a competition dance, they look from the start like they are paying tribute so don't read too much into where they are or what venue they are at. true to that this is a hip hop competition... but if you actually study and read the roots of hip hop, hip hop has many styles incorporated like modern ballet, jazz, funk styles like poppin and lockin, housin, krumping, and a bunch of other styles. the young generation fail to realize how hip hop is not a root itself but has many roots of dance of its own. so technically you can dance any particular style as long as it "pleases" the audience... i feel that fanny pak did good overall though
