I know I said "ill never buy anything else", but I had to! Home theater is ever changing and I had to upgrade. Now im upgrading again to get ready for 3D! However, im still sticking with Pioneer. That part will never change!...

I have the 2nd one down from the top. Got it from Magnolia for $850. It was a floor model but looks/performs perfect. Highly recommend it. Running it with 5.1 b&w 600 series setup. Bi amping the fronts sounds really good. Also running 2 Klipsch 12" powered subs.

I've heard them and they are nothing special...at ALL.

Pioneer is like the Ferrari, and Marantz a good car, but not the same....

Don't compare realities. Maybe you've choosed Marantz and you want to mentalize your self you did a smart choice...LOOOL

yes i also own "tag mclaren audio, there nothing special either, but i can tell you now it would blow this $10 crap away and what are you on about marantz high end stuff you couldn't afford anyways. OH ALMOST FORGOT MARANTZ USE THE BEST PIONEER LASER DISC TRAYS FOR THERE CHEAPER MODEL PLAYERS..SO CHECK THEM OUT IF YOU DON'T BELEIVE ME..

So you've seen my paycheck? where did you get the information that i can't afford high end audio? You should learn to argue the facts and not make shit up. I've had Denon, Pioneer, and Marantz equipment. Denon is better than Pioneer IMO. I have the Paradigm Studio 100s (speakers i "can't afford") and they sounded like dick on the marantz.

@00Mandingo00 - Well...I'll argue about Denon being better than Pioneer, but I can't argue about Marantz.

I don't care who says what....Marantz is garbage. I have a pair of MartinLogan Etheos and they sound like shit on a Marantz SR8002.

PS-Don't you just love when people on the internet tell you what you can't afford? I always get a kick out of that.

Great receivers. I have a Pioneer Elite plasma, and I love it. You can't go wrong with Pioneer or Denon receivers.
