It's easy to realize that Mr. Ayatu Nure is handling a family of more than 100 people. This man had lots of proporty and catle. Today he has small portion of that and no income enough to feed his family and he is willing to put his chilren for adoption. IMAGINE! Mr. simonlives, what else is needed to make him exceptional?

The Fertility rate is measured by the number of children per woman, so his 12 wives with 78 children comes out to about 6 children per woman. The fertility rate in Ethiopia is 6 per mother, so actually, the family is average for Ethiopia. 6 per woman is too high ofcourse, my point is the video is inaccurate to make him and his wives as unusual.

Thats how we oromos are, my grandpa had 5 wives and 26 kids not much but still big family. You'd most likely find this happening in Harargee oromos, Arsi and bale oromos too. Other places usually hav a max of 5 - 6 kids.
