Hi thanks for the video! I see myself as kind of an "advanced beginner" or how do you call it :P. The A shape barre chord is the only one of the basic chords I have a lot of difficulty with. I normally play it like the shape you said, that is difficult. I saw someone else play it the way you play it. After a search I found your lesson. Very useful. But the thinnest string is supposed to ring right? Doesn't that make this way of playing hard too? Any advise?
yes the 1st string (thinnest string) is supposed to ring...if it doesnt correct your index finger to make it ring...for example...maybe slant it more...u should hear all 6 strings...hope this helped..
CurtisSum, there are 5 chords in the chord progression I played. You have the 1st one right, though! Come on, you guys are not learning! hehe. Remember, what is the root name of the chord, and which "form" and I playing (is it a major or minor chord?).
