  • Knureled knobs are made that way so you can get a grip on them with sweaty hands. or, use your pinky to do volume swells while picking. Personaly, i've never had a problem with them. And i love the way the so-cal looks.

  • it feels like that so you can do volume tricks and crap and grip it are you really using the volume that much

  • You remind me of Kung Foo Panda!

  • can the tremolo go up?

  • @pentalfakos yes. The trem can be set up for down only or floating.

  • @commercialking and when you take the guitar right up from the factory the default setting is to "floating"

  • come to the point...

this is a real cool guitar at a real low price (for the value), and why should we care about a "knob"...?

  • @prsbaba67 welll im not going to buy the guitar because its impossible to change the know so im really possed at charvel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think this guitar looks much better with the pickguard.

  • From what I understand, another potential negative (not a dealbreaker for me) is that the truss rod isn't easy to access. You have to unbolt the neck, which is inconvenient. To me it'd be better to have the adjustment on the headstock

  • I have a SD Style 1 hss and a SD style 2 2h, and I dont have any problem with the vol knob or the tuners. As for the floyd rose once again I dont have any problem with it.

  • This guy likes the sound of his own voice

  • @lighteningboy Its sooooooo sexy ;)

  • @commercialking

Faults? Issues? Maybe just opinions? Seems a knob is hardly a [fault] of the guitar [as has been described]. What, give ya a blister? Get calloused or wear a glove. It's a choice [and a $4 one at that, for solid brass]. Either someone likes or dislikes. Same for every part on the thing. There ya go, no [faults], just opinions/thoughts/choices.

  • @lighteningboy

I wish he'd move to Korea and take a cheese grater to his knob!

  • I agree with some of the points you made here. The knob isn't an issue and like other people have posted the Grover tuners are a non issue as well . As for your other point about stuff being made for less in another country I agree! I wanted one of the San Dimas US made since they were released but since I live in Canada my cost for them after tax is around 1,250.oo bucks! Then I heard about the new Pro Mod series being released next month, I bought one For the same price CAD as US MSRP price!

  • jcfonline seems like a bunch of whiners

  • jackson adrian smith check that out

  • The knobs on both the So-Cal and San Dimas are fine! It has tons of grip which I like. The pickgaurd on the So-Cal is cool... not crappy looking.

  • he can dive bomb that bitch to hell

    lol

  • Sure. Why wouldn't anyone want a Korean Ferrari? Can't imagine.

  • "Hmm what kind of knob can we put on our guitars that would both, A) harm them and B) make them want to modify their guitars? Gee, I don't know, oh wait!!! We'll put these cheese-grater knobs on them!! Brilliant!!!"

  • people complaining about floyd rose?? they must be insane.

  • buy a bigger tee shirt.

  • LOL!

  • @rebbeachfan his shirt is fine the problem is your worried about that and not the guitar

  • @thatotherguy9782 Are you f'in serious, dude? I was just making a JOKE, which is essentially what this video is! The dude sits around talking about worthless shit like his harmony central username, a fucking knob that costs 5 bucks to replace, and tuners which become a non-issue because they're behind a locking nut. He's like a million other noobs on the youtube who need to spend more time learning how to play and less time bitching about gear.

  • so finished watching the video ... those are the "big big big issues" ? ^^ so just changing the volume knob and .. that's all

i'm ordering it in slime green too, just a matter of hours, or maybe days ...

  • i don't get your remark about the tuners .. actually why do you care, and how can you even know if they stay in tune ... since you have a locking nut ? i don't get it ...

  • Thanks for the info, I have seen those but not played one yet. I like the one that has the Tele body shape. I have a 1980 Charvel pre pro strat that I should do a video of.

    Thanks again.
